Ive been watching Track your Dream. Its been changing quite frequently but before I get too excited I was hoping someone has any updates on how long it takes from the time my car arrives at the port till it actually gets on the ship. As of today, my Taycan is in transit to the port arriving 9/2, but then it says its not on the vessel till 11/4.

Time in Emden depends on availability of ships, weather, and number of cars ahead of yours. This year there are labor negotiation problems. Several walkouts by port workers this summer. Likely difficult for anyone - including TYD - to accurately predict departure time. Possibly the TYD date is a worst case placeholder.

Not necessarily. Dealers are getting cars without battery, at least in Europe (ask me how I know ). I do not know if this also apply to oversea delivery.

No. There is a shortage of the Taycan 12v. It is specific to the car and not like most ice 12v.

They are transported on rails/trucks. To get them on and off the truck you just need a temporary battery.

This has been going on for at least 4 weeks…if not more. There are LOTS of completed cars waiting 12V batteries before they can complete their journey….including mine.

These are uncertain times due to the supply shortage of 12V batteries. My car has been produced since early July and left the factory but is being kept at a holding facility before reaching Port of Emden waiting for the 12V battery. I have the same 11/04 "On Vessel" date, just hoping that it is a placeholder and the actual date is earlier.

Well, i arrived at Emden 4/12 and got on a boat 8/26. There’s no telling what will happen. YMMV.

Yep, I believe the 12V is pretty easy to access as it's under the hood of the car, so doesn't take a lot of time to swap them in/out. There are quite a few cars waiting at port, and even more waiting to be sent to the port, being stored at a Porschewerks warehouse near the main factory. My car, along with many others are there

Just telling you what I have read. There was also a worker strike at the Port in Emden that delayed cars getting loaded on boats too.

I took delivery last year, but my car went to the port of Emden without the TPSM (monitors the tire pressure, so they obviously used a temp value), powered steering column, telephone charger, and 2nd key.

They shipped the car and it sat in the Port in Jax FL for a few weeks waiting on the TPSM. I guess the port got full and they shipped it to my dealer who received the TPSM a few days later and installed them so I could take delivery (TPSM are like windshield wipers, required to be on the road in the US).

Still have not gotten the other 3 items and had the car 11 months (getting the key and phone charger when it goes in for the software update and looks like Porsche is going to send me $1k rather than retrofit the column.
