My fronts seem shot at 14,500 miles. When did you change your tyres? I have a CT 4 and I love to floor it. Rears look decent.

Looks to me like your tire pressure is too low in your fronts causing excessive wear on the outside edges. How much tread depth is left in the middle of those front tires?

I just noticed the same thing with my fronts at ~15k miles. The outer edges are nearly flat; I'll have to check the middle of the tires to see how they're doing. My fronts range between 36-38 psi typically.

CT4S P7 Pirelli Cintaro blue elect (came with them) lasted 14k on mine too. They'd worn fairly evenly. On 20s.

I think a lot of people suffer with hard to see wear on the inside walls of the tyres generally. Plenty of threads on that.

The tyre with the big split in it should definitely go asap!

If you’re just replacing the front then I’d match with existing, so they’re all the same.

if all 4 then I guess the world is your NF0 oyster!

I just took my 4S CT in for recall work. I’m at 13/14-months of ownership and 13,500 miles. Technician told me my fronts were worn and needed to be replaced. I was surprised because, while we put on about 1,000 miles a month, I seldom have opportunity to drive the car hard (?). $1,700 for two tires and alignment.

Blech. This car is clearly going to be a tire shredder.

That’s what I thought too! ? The alignment was significant at $650 (and normally not a requirement, of course). The tires are Pilot Sport 4s ($423/per). Plus the Los Angeles dealer network is just naturally more expensive, because it can be.

Note to self and all on here - check the inside shoulders of your tyres very, very carefully.

I'd been checking tyre depth across the tyre, but had not spotted the shoulders going. Will be getting on my hands and knees regularly from now on.

It's really odd wear though (OEM Goodyear F1 Asymmetric 3). If anything I may have been running slightly too high pressure (centre worn a bit more than the outer. 37psi)...but that inside shoulder looks like it's been running right on the corner. (Any recommendations for a top notch alignment place in SE UK would be gratefully received).

Hankook Ion Evos on the rear now. Weather has been garbage to try them properly...pretty sure they are quieter...what they do on range etc we'll see (though I didn't change all 4).
