I don’t find any need for that behavior but many may.

To be clear, I am not trying to spin my wheels, I see this as a bug not a feature.

I gotta check on the tires, but yes traction control is on. I have less than 1000 miles on the car, so I would think the thread is brand new. I suspect the stock tires are just garbagio.

You do have a turbo s so there will be a lot of power. In a straight line mine scrabble for grip a bit which the traction control then gets hold of. Round a bend or roundabout I can easily lose grip and start to slide. Happened today and had to reduce the power or I would have lost it completely. I blame the tyres (Pirelli Cinturato) which I don’t like at all. I used to have a 4S with Michelin tyres which was much better however now have a turbo with these ones, so not directly comparable. When I slid I am not sure if the road was slightly damp or not, but when I came home the grip still wasn’t great. 10 deg C outside, dry, tyres warm (pressure had risen a bit). Time to go back to Michelin I think

This can't be a tire issue but a TC issue.
This is extremely dangerous with the torque of an electric car in this type of season....
Please do yourself and your family a favor and visit a Porsche workshop asap.

To be fair, traction control finds grip after about 1 second, but it does take 1 second for it to stabilize

I think it’s more about acceleration control. The Turbo and Turbo S can be a bit twitchy (all high-powered cars are), so you might need to modulate your accelerator pedal input for better traction and overall control of the car.

I rarely see the traction-control light come on, but it sure can be a little bit twitchy when you floor it at low speed/stop.
I have 21", goodyears in front and some cheap(er) non NF0 Hankook Ventus S1 Evo3 in the back.
Make sure your tyre pressures are within spec, over-inflating them may give better range but will make them spin more often.
With temps dropping, its going to get worse to get those performance summer tires to stick.
