This was definitely the PPF. I PPF'd my 4s and received this message. I was fortunate when I took it to the dealer for the recall, they fixed it at no charge.

Did anyone make any progress on this? Same thing is happening to me. I picked up my 22 4s yesterday and get the Egress warning every time I start the car. I also got ppf before picking up the car.

Progress was made when my dealer swapped the incorrect and incompatible door card for the correct one (with the egress warner).

Thanks all for the feedback. I haven't fixed it yet, but feel better that at least I have some idea what to suggest to the dealer.

Replacing the door card fixed mine, because the one they delivered the car with (one from another Taycan at the dealership) was not equipped with the egress warner system. When the proper one arrived and was installed, it solved the egress warner problem. Now there's just the ticking and creaking which comes from the door card when the car goes over bumpy terrain, especially in sport plus (stiffer).

In my case I had PPF installed which left the egress warning on. The dealer told me that taking the mirror off triggers that warning. They plugged a laptop into the car and reset the warning and all is ok. The mirror was removed and reinstalled doing PPF.
I hope this helps someone get their warning addressed.

When you brought the car to the dealer did you just pretend like the egress warning didn’t suddenly appear post-PPF? Im getting the same error after getting my doors wrapped and am imagining that the dealer will turn me away or charge some exorbitant amount to clear the code since it’s not Porsche’s fault.

My PPF installer assured me it would disappear after a 40ish minute drive—-and it did—but then it reappeared this morning.

The dealer doesn’t care. They want your future business for years.
I told them I just had PPF installed and they knew what to do. I was in and out in five minutes.

My Egress Warner light came on this morning for no reason. It was not on yesterday when I got home from work and it was this AM. Any resolution to this? I drove 45 mins to the office and it's still on. No mods or anything done to the car
