It's not "better" or "more linear". It just boosts the potentiometer voltage with a fixed multiplier, nothing else. Same like slapping a % on the throttle map in software.

You could have also asked nicely at support and we would have made you a file with the Turbo S pedal map, which would have accomplished the same thing (or better really, since it's OE Porsche cal).
Based on how it responds, it seems to change the entire throttle mapping. Optimize is the word they use. Other competitors do as well (with more customization). It is possible it’s just boosting the signal but seems a bit more than just a simple multiplier. Honestly I didn’t want to bug you since I didn’t pay extra for custom tuning and definitely didn’t want to have to go back and forth to tweak it if I didn’t like the results. But I do appreciate the offer.

It does not. It has no idea about your throttle mapping.
It's only inputs and outputs are two voltages (one and other side of potentiometer). It has no clue about the speed the car is going, what it is doing or how it is mapped in the ECU.
All it can do is just boost those voltages, and that's exactly what it does. Trivial to test with a tester...

Yes, but the way it boosts the voltages makes a difference to the whole curve and throttle response.

It isn’t necessary just a straight % multiplier. Look at the link of the other one (shift power), you can choose a straight multiplier (linear), but they also have dynamic and exponential options that change how it boosts (or reduces the signal).

Either way, it seems to have fixed the lag that I didn’t like and for $75 plus shipping (used) was hard to pass up.

Inherently, the power-to-weight ratio of two vehicles differer significantly.

2020 F-Type R convertible 3.6klbs, 550hp/502lb-ft: 0.15hp/lbs
2024 Taycan 4s 4.8klbs, 430hp/509hp 480lbs-ft: 0.11hp/lbs using 509hp w/larger battery pack.

So naturally lighter weight vehicle with more power and torque would feel more responsive in normal driving conditions without using full throttle. Since electric motor essentially has immediate torque, the acceleration is what we all notice. Manufacturers can tune and mange the current flow to control the motor behavior easier than ICE equivalent.

You could have achieved the same by pressing the pedal more is my point. There is no "lag" being "fixed". It's just boosting the pot signal. Call it a multiplier or a curve or whatever

The throttle mapping in the ECU is a 3d map with three axis (X, Y and Z as value), you're scaling one only without having any clue where you are in the map.

I mean if you are happy with it sure, but the $75 is still more than the adjustment I would have done for you for free ;)
