They're ordered. Waiting for my taycan delivery to make the swap. Delivery was initially scheduled for April 8th but due to the heater issue, it slipped to may 5th.

I'll report once I've drove them for a few days ?
@tchavei would you have a feedback about the Hankook tires? Any impact on range, performance or durability?
Thanks

FWIW, we have a set of Hankook ION EVO AS tires on our Genesis GV60P - they replaced the OEM Michelin Primacy AS.

The Hankooks are quieter and ride better, and the driving feel overall is better too. Efficiency seems slightly improved.

I'm a fan.

I took the plunge when putting the Summers back on in April and fitted Hankook ION EVOs to my 20s. Due to a Friday afternoon puncture late last Summer coming back from holiday I had 2 crappy tyres at the back (other option at the time was to wait 4 days near Lyon for Pirellis) so was changing 2 anyway.

So far they are as quiet or quieter than previously but the car is so quiet it's hard to tell. My Apple Watch decibel counter says 62-65db at 70mph in the UK which is around what I tend to see whenever I check.

There is a noticeable improvement in efficiency though. It's hard to make direct comparisons but a 121 mile (c.200kms) round trip from London at the weekend to a friend's place, with some pootling locally while down there and mainly motorway driving returned 3.1mi/kwh since charging (20kwh/100kms) which is pretty much the best I've seen for any similar trip. Temperature was 12-15c.

I went back through my trips on the website for the last 12 months and can't find anything equivalent better than 2.8mi/kwh (22kwh/100kms). So while it's early days I think this was an excellent decision, I'd prefer them to be NF0 but the triple A rating gives me comfort and if it turns out to be 5-10% better efficiency longer term I see that as a big win.

Porsche is fitting Hankook NF0 on some MY25 models, at least on the new 21’ Aero wheels designed for the Turbo. So Hankook NF0s exist.
But I realized that the new 21’ wheels are thinner (e.g 285 vs 305 in the rear ) so we won’t be able to fit those tires on older 21 rims for example.
I hope Porsche expands their partnership and we have more Hankook NF0 sizes at some point.

Knowing they were NF0 in other sizes made it a fairly easy decision

+1 for this update if feasible please?
Sorry guys, been away from the forum. The tires never materialized, as my tire dealer started to scare me because of the local Porsche Dealer having refused warranty in the past due to non Porsche approved tires. Maybe he was right, maybe he was wrong. I don't know but I got cold feet in the last minute.

What I do know is that a few months ago I had a air suspension compressor failure and Porsche took care of it without a blink while using Eagle F1 NF0 tires (but not original 21'' rims). I don't know how they would have reacted if I had fitted the Hankook ones.

I still feel like wanting to try them out to be completely honest. Maybe the next set will be hankook.

What specifically did they claim to have refused to warranty due to non NF0 tires?

Full disclosure, I have 3 sets of tires for my Taycan, 2 NF0 and one non NF0. I truly don't see Porsche trying to deny warranty my heater or instrument cluster or battery due to me using Michelin PS4S tires they didn't happen to test.

I didn't confirm directly with the dealer. It was a "hearsay" from my tire shop who is the local Porsche dealership supplier (the dealership actually brings in some cars for tire changes when they're overloaded, I was told)

In the US, at least, it would be illegal to deny warranty coverage on the basis of non Porsche program tires unless the damage was directly related to the tires (and even that would be highly questionable)..

Were they Porsche branded rims?

I suspect Porsche would be more more likely to reject a claim for wheels than tyres...

I have two rear Hankooks going on tomorrow after a puncture.... Will see how they go.

Goodyears lasted 20k.
