Finger lock toddler caution

For those with kids that imitate everything adults do, I am absolutely terrified of my daughter’s finger getting crushed by the door handles as she tries to lock the door with her fingers by pressing the indentation.

also tried turning it off via comfort access but to no avail. Or can it be turned off another way, specifically this singular function as I need the others?

Strangely my two year old has a higher hit rate in triggering the kick to open trunk function lol.

I had the same concern but it’s not likely to do any serious damage as my daughter found out. Will just scare them a bit. Maybe demonstrate to your kid what happens when the door handles mistakes your fingers for French fries?

Have you tried leaving your fingers in there when they are closing? It happened to me, it was not very strong force.

Never crossed my mind but good to know it won’t cut off a finger.

Will try the French dry demonstration!

The handles are on a spring so even if they retract you can just pull them open just as easily as when opening the door.
