Fitted the polarisation filter to our Fitcamx dashcam today. Initial impressions is that it does appear to work and reduce the glare from the dashboard air-conditioning vents.
It does make the camera a little bit more prominent – but it is not as noticeable when looking in via the front windscreen.

Before the filter:
The vent glare is prominent going into our underground carpark:
Driving on a similar sunny day in the same area with the filter fitted:
And going in the same gate (thank you Homelink!):
