Ok, thickening of the plot now. 🤷‍♂️
UK configurator for a 4S CT, doesn't force the pano' roof option.
But configuring a base saloon does.

My 23 4S CT 'allegedly' has factory pre-wiring and, I'm planning to install the dashcam this weekend.

As per - I'd really appreciate any info'/links/advice, regarding the roof lining.:like:

If I learn anything that hasn't already been posted in this thread, I'll share it with pics.
Pics of the boxed Porsche 'pre-wired' kit available for anybody that needs them.
It's a 3-pin power feed on the camera mount lead.

I've just been into the UK configurator and the dash cam preparation is offered as a no cost option, without any requirement for the pano' roof option.
Seems odd?
I have no clue if this is the reason. But after Brexit, Porsche Ireland was no longer a "retail outlet" of Porsche GB. Instead it got wired directly into Porsche AG as a right-hand drive variant.

I've never seen a deviation between UK and Irish specs – until maybe now?

The main reason for the split was: (a) Irish cars are no longer shipped through the UK (to avoid customs complexity) and (b) to ensure that right-hand drive variants are legal in the EU and pass all of the unions regulations.

Maybe, just maybe, you've found a little thing where the specs have deviated.

I think it was just the base v 4S CT configuration that made the difference.

No idea why though.

Thanks whitex & fastlorenzo, some great info' here.:like:

I've just acquired a used OE Porsche dashcam to DIY install in my 2023 4S CT, which has factory pre-wiring.
Is anybody able to clarify exactly what I need to do with the roof lining?
My car doesn't have a pano' roof, surely I don't need to drop the whole roof lining trim?
Can I just lower the front section slightly?
Will I need to remove the grab handles? (Any links or info' for removing these?)
No need to completely remove the sun visors? (Just the retaining clips?)
Got my head around removing the A pillars.

TIA.
Got stuck in and answered my own questions.

For reference:

Accessing the factory pre-wire (dash cam preparation) is much easier than suggested by the Porsche PDF and, is as per whitex in his alternative cam fitment thread.

All that needs to be removed is the light/roof console and the two sun visor retaining clips; removing the roof liner retaining screws (behind the roof console), then facilitates accessing the connectors; you just need to pull the roof trim down a bit and they're visible.
You can lever them off the roof with your fingers to connect them and then push them back up into their holder.
30 minutes job, the second time you do it. ;-)

Unfortunately, I'll have to do it again.😴
The camera and leads that I have came with a 3-pin power connector, which won't fit the car's 6-pin connector.
I'm assuming that it must be a lead for a 911 Targa or convertible, that can't use a rear camera?

I could've used the pin out info' and hard wired it, but I prefer to keep it all as per the factory.
I think I need to order 9Y0.044.955.C?

I also managed to pull my RVM off completely. :CWL:
Those RVM trims that need to be removed for the fitcamx etc, are well capable of bending far enough to remove them; I really doubt you'd break them.

Thanks again for all the helpful info'.
