Front diff noise?

As the weather has got colder, my 4S has started to make horrible noises on full lock (or near) every time I move the car out of my driveway or work parking space.

very similar to how 4wd of old would feel when the 2 wheels rotate at different speeds.. but it's very, very noticeable. And only appeared as the temperature dropped .

I can't see any other mention of it on here (and don't remember the car doing it last year).

Never happens when the car is warm. Which is why I assume it is the front differential.

Is this normal? Anyone else have this?

Not to worry, it's common with Porsches when it gets cold.

Google "Porsche Acorns" for dozens and dozens of threads on this effect.

My pleasure! It feels very alarming but every Porsche I've ever owned has done it.

It's the Ackermann effect and well written about on different forums. It is more pronounced in cold weather, but don't worry as Porsche say it's perfectly normal., and it certainly affects my Macan S.
