I was very specific in my wants but sensitive to prices too.
I wanted matrix lights but they were unavailable when i got mine and the dealer said PDLS+ is an expensive option on most Porsches and is very good, I haven’t tried matrix nor do I drive at night as much as I used to but I would say the lights are very good. I take issue with the car’s choice of when to automatically raise and dip but this is easily over ridden.

I decided HUD was more expensive than it is worth for me, I have it on one car and found it faintly useful but don’t miss it at all on the Taycan.

I got the 3D cameras and appreciate the side lighting and side view but am quite capable of parking with no camera at all, having done so most of my life so not essential at all.

Actually as somebody who has been driving since 1967 the majority of “features” are unimportant luxuries to me, rather than essential!

Of the things I personally chose the ones I and my family appreciate most are the 14 way comfort seats with ventilation and massage.
I appreciate as a driver the torque vectoring which is even more effective than I expected. I also have rear wheel steering and active anti roll bars on my CT4S which on the bumpy twisty roads where I live seemed more important than more power, I don’t get chance of full throttle often.
Thank you for comment. I want for sure ventilated seats ať least. Have them in my lexus and whole summer it is game changer.

Not any options are really mandatory it really depends on what you like. For me my musts were mission e, full leather (non black), color, rear wheel steer, sport chrono, Bose at a minimum, and glass roof. The 360 is nice to have but not great. After having the privacy glass I would be hard pressed not to get it again, it makes a big difference.

As far as it being unsellable that’s just a ridiculous statement. Of course you will be able to sell it. Do I think it’s going to hold value no not in the slightest but you will always be able to sell it. If I had to make an assumption on future values I would say it will probably loose between 50-60% of its current used value. The car will still be fully useable after the battery warranty is out.

With all that being said make sure you buy one with a cpo warranty. Mine just got four months of warranty work done and so far I ah e only seen a portion of the warranty bill and even that is the value of a nice new car.

I already mentioned somewhere else on this forum, I’ve got $20 cash in hand for someone looking to sell their Taycan. No questions asked.

I would recommend reading this thread to see a reason why you might not want 360 after all. I believe it also covers the fact that the HUD introduces some potentially unwanted dashboard clutter.

I have 360 and HUD. I do not think either essential but was very pleasantly surprised when I first used Sat nav and the directions with a skeleton map appeared via HUD.
For me leather, Bose and colour would be more important.

I specced (over-specced) my turbo to what I really wanted..rather than really needed.

360: yes useful when I can’t see easily at night but often completely ignore the camera as another layer of compexity.

HUD: I like it and its useful. However, never had it on my previous car and survived just fine, so definitely not essential.

Rear steer is useful, 4 zone climate only if you carry passengers a lot, otherwise don’t bother, I’ve hardly used it, Night View assist helpful not mandatory for safety especially outside the city, but you have eyes which are still useful.

I personally think many of the extras I specced are window dressing, not mandatory and I think even a base Taycan with few extras would be nearly as good. So don’t waste too much money on the extras.

Good luck with your decision, the car is otherwise brilliant, you wont regret its definitely a 5 star car.
