Hazard warning lights…

Yesterday, it dawned on me that I couldn’t easily find the hazard warning light button - I wanted to thank someone in a lorry for letting me pull out in front of them, and wasn’t sure if they’d see my hand raised, given the small rear window and their relatively high seating position compared to the Taycan.

I assumed it would be relatively accessible ie by a physical button, rather than via the car menu.

I know it’s in the handbook somewhere but thought it might be useful to post the question on here as it might help others?!

Mine (4S SC) has a big button in the middle of the central console

To be fair, the vast array of coloured icons makes it harder to spot. I suppose an emergency stop would get it flashing to help locate it ?

It’s strange because that general area was where I was expecting to find it, although in fairness I was driving the car and glancing across, rather than stationary and studying intently to find it!

You raise a very good point: the inability to communicate a simple hand gesture to fellow motorists through the "gun slot" that Porsche calls a rear window. Perhaps one day manufacturers such as Porsche and others will incorporate screens on the exterior of vehicles to enable us (through the use of little programmable "diamond" buttons for example) to easily display "car-mojis" and thereby express our thanks, frustration, contempt, etc. to other motorists.

I use a single/double blink of the hazards to say thank you to a fellow motorist for moving over to let me pass in the #1 lane.
