Stumbled upon this today (may be old news) but potentially presents a novel way to help improve efficiency during colder temperatures:

Personally, I can see such a solution adding to the battery drain as we'd still need to heat the cabin and demist the windows!
Not sure I would want heat across the “lap area” but the upper portion could probably provide some comfort. Hard to see this as an alternative to turning on the heat entirely but It could reduce the need.

Agreed, don't really see the need for this. Heated Windscreen like they used to have in some Fords (Puma etc) would be more beneficial IMO.
