Got the car back, took it for a long weekend trip to Germany and all seems fine again. Dealer said a loose contact caused the red alerts after the initial repair.

I bought a 2021 5k mile Taycan4s and I had the error twice in two weeks, but I could still use the car. Funny that it happened to me while charging the car with my tesla 220v charger. I am considering to make an appointment with the dealer, although it is quite far from my location. Fingers crossed ??

So after a week of continuous degraded range. Used to be 230 full charge then went slowly all the wall day to 130. I just got the dreaded red electrical fault message this morning. Already have an appointment next week for to diagnose the range issue so this will be added. Let let post a follow up.

Wish I saw this forum before I traded in 2011 panamera and went to 2020 taycan 4s

Car had 10400 miles and looked pristine so I went through buying it . They had to keep it to do the ceramic coating and such I added on so I was given a similar taycan to drive around in and experience.
Love the way the car drives but found out the loaner had the ac charger issue the hard way and almost got stranded. No biggie not my car. Week later got mine and enjoyed driving it around for about 3 weeks 350 miles and got the red electric system error in this thread and was bricked in garage. Took it in today and they said it will be looked at week after next and go from there but they have been replacing a lot of cells , 12v and whole batteries lately . The shipping time for a whole high voltage battery if it's that is a month with a few days install.
Luckily the high voltage one ahead of me was from a car accident and not just a random failure ... I'm hoping it's basic hardware wiring or 12v but man I've had the car 3 weeks and they said it could be a month or more in the shop ... It still has paper tags ...

Just got this red alert on mine. Was about 60% charged, parked outside in about 86 degrees. Got about 17500 miles on it. Called my dealership to set up appointment, didn’t lock the door or walk away so my key fob was inside the car at all times. Was just about to call AAA when I tried it again ~5 minutes later and it turned on like nothing had happened. Works fine. Got home turned off and on again….no issues. Guess we’ll see what happens! ??

I have a GTS ST on the way and to see this is still an issued folks are grappling with is making me rethink this again. It seems the issue is still appearing in 2023 models (mine will be a 2024, but all the same as a 23…)

They are telling me it's a "rare" software issue not the battery. I am awaiting a software update that is current being written right now and not due out until end of August. The customer service reps are awesome though . Free loaner and when I get car back reimbursement galore including car payment

just bought a cpo 2020 ttts - they told me there was 14 updates+recalls before delivering the car to me. make sure you guys are all up to date. ive driven about 750 miles, no issues so far.

The updates and recalls were all done along with the massive inspection. You can't have this update that's wrong with my car done yet as the update is currently being written so I hope you keep having no issues . I got about 3 weeks out of mine then it started

I have not had the error signal since my last post and have driven the car daily. I decided to delay bringing it in because I’m about to leave town for a couple weeks and hoping that this is probably a software issue. I’m only a few hundred miles to where I can bring the car in “early” for the 20000 mile checkup so hoping to make it until then.

I got this fault for the first time on Friday. September 2020 4S with 20K on clock, bought it 3 months ago Porsche Approved Used.

Tried again 10 minutes later and the fault was gone but I phoned Porsche Assistance out yesterday as I didn't want to risk the fault returning while driving. The technician plugged in the car into his laptop and it detected faulty cells in the HV battery.

The car is now with Porsche and I await the news... Under warranty, thankfully!
