I know I won’t be seeing it in the metal until the end of the year, but my order is now with Porsche ???

I spent A LONG TIME considering what options were worth specking and which I would pass on, and I eventually settled on this …

http://www.porsche-code.com/PN5TY9G8

If I didn’t have a 4 year old and dogs I would probably have specked the GTS Interior package, but I decided to go simple (and wipe clean) in the end. I think the all-black-everything look works well too, especially with the other black details in the GTS

The other debate was the RS rims vs the Mission E wheels, but I decided I just prefer the simpler, blacked out Mission E rims.

One thing that was never really in question though was the Carmine Red ?

So, any thoughts or comments would be welcome.

Thanks!

Quite similar to the build I submitted in terms of extras...

I don't like stickers and doubt I'll forget the car's electric, so that's not on mine.

I found comfort access slow. I wanted to be out of the car before it had finished. So for £700+ that wasn't ticked.

I also haven't ticked the passenger display. The only thing it does for me is break up the shiny plastic. I wish they did an alternative to that. Another £700+ saved :)

I don't recall seeing the storage pack. Need to ha e a look for that.

Looking good! Similar to my build too but I had a few extras that I might remove later

The feedback on the comfort access is interesting. I haven’t tried it but I have keyless access on my current car and thought I’d spec it again. It’s possible I won’t use it much. We’ll see

the second screen was a must for me though. I really like how it breaks up the dash, but it’s an aesthetic thing, not that functional

… and the electric badge was just a bit of fun. I do like that it is matt black on the GTS though. I wouldn’t have bothered otherwise ⚡

The storage pack was added as standard too, which I think Porsche are doing now having realised the space under the centre console could and should have been used for that in the first place

Thanks. It’s so easy to keep ticking boxes. I found I lost quite a lot of options once I understood more about them and thus could better understand their worth. Innodrive is a good example, plus that can now be trialled for free for 3 months anyway, so I thought I’d try before I buy with that one

Solid build. I wonder if you noticed that " 'GTS' logo on the front and rear headrests" is standard and exclusive to the GTS instead of you giving it back to Porsche and paying extra for the Crest graphic instead.

They are currently on my car and I can remove them but I’m waiting for our imminent CT4 to come that has a lot of options. We will have it a few months before I need to lock in our GTS so by then I would’ve lived with the options to decide which to keep.

Our SA was really good and sat down with us and explained each one and which ones we really don’t need. We ended up spending almost 5 hours post test drive with him.

Just looking at the configurator I think I might have misunderstood what "Comfort Access" is...

I thought it was the function that moves the seat and steering wheel out of the way when getting in/out. (Which is too slow IMO!).

On further reading it looks like it's not having to press the key fob to unlock the car? (Plus foot gesture opening of the boot etc). We have this on our Volvo and it's actually quite handy at times.

Or is it both of these?

Your rationale on the screen is the only reason I'd get it :) But it's a lot of cash for something likely to be little used. Will have a think about that some more nearer the time.

Excited for you!! I have been eying a similar build and was torn between the satin black RS Spyder wheels and the Mission E wheels too...what made you go for the Mission E in the end?

I wish they gave you the GTS on the leather spec option. I had been told the alcantara wears horribly vs the leather but I've only had leather seat cars. That said, my cayenne turbo's leather is quite tired and worn and its only 3-4 years old =/

It's the latter only.
The former comes with any option that provides memory function for seats, steering wheel etc.
EDIT- on second thoughts, maybe Comfort Access also moves the driver's seat in anticipation of your entry, if you also have memory function.

Comfort access (according to the Configurator):
“Access to the car and locking without active use of the key, including contactless opening and closing of the rear hatch by foot gesture as well as contactless unlocking of the bonnet by hand gesture.”

Not sure why comfort access is a requirement for Remote parking, though.

Because the key wouldn't be in the car?

Another £774 to add to the car :D
