Stop using Connect app.
I don't have the update yet but connection of MyPorsche app is rock solid lately.
My original post was a typo, I meant the My Porsche app, that's what I'm using now.

This seems to be a general problem for VAG and other German automakers. They haven't adopted much of the cloud approach in regards to infrastructure for their services. I have read that they are moving, slowly, towards a cloud services approach. But with legacy application stacks it's not much help. And even if they ramp up their approach to this it will take years.
I suppose the first thing the update sequence needs to know is which options are fitted to the car being updated because there are a lot of combinations possible,

Scrolled through the thread and this is really a not important feature, but wondered if the car still shows up white when you put it in reverse or can we pick our car color (yeah I know a dumb 'tesla" thing) :)

Download the latest Porsche Good To Know App Taycan update for MY22 - should be documented there.
If I try that it says information is in My Porsche app now, which it isn’t or is so well hidden I can’t find it :(

Yep another bug I fear and definitely not tested by anyone it would seem.

I went to MyPorsche app (android), vehicle, details, and touched Manual tab. I downloaded the manual.
After manual was downloaded, I opened it and selected "video instructions".
From what I can tell "video instructions" in the MyPorsche app manual are what I remember seeing in separate "Good to Know" app.
Good luck.
RE-EDITED: @f1eng I was wrong. There is a whole section in Good to Know app called "Functions in Detail" that has lots of details of instruction steps with video demos. It may be that those details and videos have been merged into the appropriate portions of the manual in MyPorsche app.

That is why then.
I haven’t got a car yet so whilst I have the VIN I don’t have proof of ownership etc so now not possible to preview controls in the way one used to be able to in the Good to know app, well done Porsche, another dim witted change.

I don't think this works in UK - doesn't for me on Android or Apple - no Manual tab either.

Using My Porsche App appears to force use of a VIN number which will impair my chances of looking at the latest MY docs and videos.

Not a lot will have changed since MY21 but annoying nonetheless.

You can still look at the MY21 version within the Porsche Good To Know App.

I have done.
It is the "what has happened to the torque split display" question and the potential replacement I wanted to check up on.
I have deleted the "good to know" app in a fit of pique.

New "manual" tab is showing up for me on iOS.

And while the table of contents doesn't look very exhaustive – compared to the "Good To Know" app:

When you click into the search bar – it seems to have most of the content there:

Not sure if this will help, but thought I would share. I do this all the time. I have both the Connect and My Porsche app, but like the Connect better. What I have found is that when you open the app, it does not connect quickly and in my case, it helps to open the app and then go open another app and then swipe up on your phone an go back to it.

That being said, if I open Connect and hit Climate at the top even before it is connected, it does start cooling the car once connected.
The MYPORSCHE app locking could not be corrected by the dealership this morning and when I charged it to 100% this morning, I got the normal 275 miles, not the 300 I got once.

PS A reminder that I do not have the uPdate yet.

Upon further review, it looks like instruction details and related videos found in Good to Know - Functions in Detail have been included in the MyPorsche app manual tab.

The new display is in the central tube of the digital cockpit display from what I gather and is less of a torque display and more of a cutaway diagram with the power flow shown.

Original was ok but the replacement sounds worse potentially.
