Update on the LED matrix headlights for the USA - it does not look good for any cars manufactured before Porsche obtains the certification.

I guess I will add it to my list of things to hack if I have some free time (which has been in very tight supply lately).

Not surprising, but disappointing that the US and EU have different enough requirements that auto makers need to create separate systems for them, and that Porsche isn't trying to retrofit older models. A bummer for sure, but my guess is that by the time they actually get certified for the US, I'll probably bee looking to buy something new anyways.

I was able to have my disabled full adaptive BMW M4 light functions enabled by a coding expert and was hoping a 3rd party might be able to do the same for the Porsche but understand that it’s system access much harder to manipulate - but, the point being I guess that for the BMW, the system was capable of being enabled and simply needed to be recoded ‘on’ -(vs say any hardware limitation) and still wonder if this would not be the case for the matrix light functionality in my MY 2022 4S (whether fully legal or not).

There are multiple ECU's in matrix headlights. Not sure whether all the ECU's would need to be reprogrammed, or only the headlights (i.e. maybe the right commands go out to the headlights already, but headlights firmware ignores them - that would make it much simpler to hack).

Would also like to have coding capabilities in order to convert to euro rear light strip/turn signals.

Yea, me too. I cannot stand the unified brake/turn-signal configuration. That one might be easier to hack in, but would require a whole new set of rear lights with amber turn signals to start.
