I was getting circa 240 miles in the summer/autumn, now in cold Scotland the range is just above 200 when fully charged. The impact on daily life is negligible to zero.

I also had a range of 400 km (240 miles) in summer. Now I have about 330 - 350 km in minus 10 -15 C at 100% . And the car delivers that. Trick is to make sure that the car has preheated both cabin and battery before you drive it. Set the charge timer to your departure time and preheat the cabin. Makes a huge, huge difference in range.

My range is about the same as yours right now. It's not the most efficient ev, but it's one of the most fun to drive.

Thank you all. I will simply test the range and enjoy the car which seems lovely. First long trip needing charging today. Tesla charging network was great. Hopefully this will be the same but with an even better driving experience
you will be severely disappointed with the EA charging experience. good luck, and plan for alternative charging options

There is no doubt that this will be a challenge versus Telsa who have charging nailed BUT everything is better than when I started driving EVs 9 years ago. Going into London tonight I found a great charging are on the M1 near north London with 26 120kW chargers. Worked a dream but finding it was a challenge and nothing in Porsche app helped (using their planning tool). Switched to ZapMap but also poor as I could not find a way to filter it to 100+ chargers so it overwhelms you with too much choice, most of which were poor. The Porsche app identified a 3 bay MFG charger but cost was very high and I read online I could not use the Porsche card. Somehow the companies have to make it as straightforward as Tesla. Anyway, I found a good one and the journey worked out well in the end

I think the OP is in the UK so is spared what sounds like a nightmarish EA experience. However, he can still enjoy queuing for IONITY!

I think it will be fine and the accuracy of predicted mile was much better that the Tesla. If I had driven entirely to the speed limit it would have been spot on. Never found Ionity but did find a great 26 bay spot that is now in my favourites. Will build a network over time on my routes

Absolutely, I’ve found it almost seamless. I’m nearly at 40,000 miles now in just over 2 years and it, for me at least, just works. We’ve a 26 bay Gridserve 2 miles from us and an IONITY a little further away which are frustratingly of little use to me other than if the Ohme Home Pro decides to go on strike!

Is the Gridserve the one in Norwich? I was there last year and that was a fantastic stop. Good rest rooms, good shop and excellent coffee! Gridserve are a bit pricey but well worth it considering the whole overall experience. And there was a roof over the chargers as well if I remember correctly?

That’s the one! A very nice facility, just far too close to home to be of use to me. The IONITY chargers are on the other side of the city at Cringleford and are on a windswept Shell forecourt with no weather protection. Often fairly flaky too, to add insult to injury.

I am a 9 year Tesla owner (3 different models) switching to Porsche and get all those variables. My concern was without driving at all (so not taking into account the variable) it show only 184 miles at 85% which is well below all the quoted ranges including your one above.
Today I'm showing 171 miles @ 85% and 3C, MY23 GTS ST 5K miles, 21" Spyders, normally (when its milder - say 10C - I'll get 185 @ 85%).

Stationary or not the range is based on ambient, wheel size (21" non aero provide less efficiency) and some tally with driving style (I'm not convinced on the latter to be honest).

Range will improve over time and when it is warmer. Check out the range calculator on the Taycan pages of the Porsche website tweaking the various variables and not least the ambient temperature.

Your range estimate is on the money IMHO for this time of year. Pay more attention to your consumption rather than a stationary value - remembering that per an ICE vehicle short journeys waste much energy.

unless you drive pretty hard that seems pretty low. May be worth while to drain the battery to under 20% let it sit overnight and then charge it in the morning. It will rebalance the cells and show if there are any problems with your pack.

I don't drive hard and never used launch mode (had a 4S for 2.5 years and same story there). Cruise control on longer journeys (70mph).

Short journeys and cold temps is my issue where consumption is around 1.6 miles / kW for a 2 mile commute.

Since new my consumption is 2.6 miles / kW. My 4S got to 3.0 miles / kW over 18,000 miles and so the GTS has some way to go

I'm used to the fluctuations and so don't let it bother me and fully expect the next charge to report 180+ miles.

I don’t know how many quick parts of your journey there are but the Turismo body has 20% more drag than a saloon which isn’t negligible particularly on motorways.

I've got a turbo, but was given a ct4s as a curtosey, and when I drove it, I got the range to be in the region of 350miles.

I wasn't ragging it, but drove steady, no hard acceleration, had it in range mode, and used eco plus for heating when needed.

Conversely, when I was sat outside school this morning, (in my car) with the heater on full blast, in sports mode, with everything on, you could see the range dropping every other second!

Basically, take it easy, and you'll get the range. I trust the range, even having driven several different ones it's been quite accurate.

79% battery left having driven 71 miles.
