Friends,

I have been enjoying my Taycan for more than 4 years. 3 days ago, I noticed the traffic was no longer appearing on my Nav System and the LTE notification had been replaced by something that looks like an Equal Sign with a line through it. I checked on the Porsche Connect web site and my subscriptions are active.

Any ideas on how to get my LTE back?

Lots of threads on this. It used to be a lot more frequent before some software updates – but it still seems to happen to some.

Possible fixes:
  1. Lock the car, walk away keeping the keys away from it for about 15 mins. Sometimes thats enough to reset it.
  2. Reset the 12v system – not to be done too lightly but very often resolves it.
  3. Ignore it – and it will sometimes come back by itself
  4. Bring it to your Porsche Centre – where they can force a the comms modules to restart – which sometimes fixes it.
  5. Or you may need hardware replacements – of a communications gateway or the LTE module. This used to be required more frequently in the past.
Search the forum on this – lots on here about it.

This just happened to me, I was able to fix it last night based on some advice from this forum.

It requires removing a few fuses that control the telematics for about 20 minutes and then reinstalling them.

Saved me a trip to the dealer.

It has happened to me in the past as well, but usually spontaneously fixed itself before I got motivated to find a solution.

This time, it has lasted a little longer and it was affecting my daily commute as I have the insulated glass and it effects my cell signal strength and I rely on the wifi hotspot sometimes.

In the driver footwell there is a fusebox behind a easily removable panel just to the left of the deadpedal.

If you remove the A11, A12 and C1 fuses and lock the car and walk away for 20 minutes and reinstall them, the problem may be resolved as it did for me. The LTE symbol returned on restart after reinstalling the fuses.

The A series of fuses is the top row of fuses and fuses 11 and 12 are the ones furthest in toward the deadpedal and floor. (5 amp fuse for A11 and 7.5 amp fuse for A12) and the C series fuses is the bottom row of fuses and C1 is the one closes to the door, to the left as you are looking at the fuse box head on.

Removing the pink fuse retainer is a little fiddly and requires you to push away a small retaining clip on the far end of the retainer closest to the deadpedal/floor and then pull out the pink retainer. You need two hands and I found using a small flathead to push the clip and a small tweezer/ needle nose plier to pull the retainer off.

Good luck if you go this route, but for me it was worth a try to avoid the downtime of the dealer.

BTW, I found this easier than disconnecting the 12v, which likely would also work.

Not an answer, but I have several Porsche vehicles and they all exhibit some randomness in this area. Same with displaying road speed limit (the cars that get that over the air rather than sign-reading). Sometimes it's there, sometimes it isn't. One car that I drove for years assuming it didn't display speed limits, all of a sudden began doing it.

My 2020 Taycan Turbo had this problem multiple times. The car would revert into a Flight or transport mode which would require a trip to the dealership to switch it back. i never got the issue resolved

Thanks. I think I will try waiting.
That solved it for me, just locking and waiting overnight, and may take several days.
Same thing sometimes happens to the Smart Lift that stops working with no menu entry, then comes back after a few days.
