Mobile charging options

I have the Porsche Mobile Charger Connect that came with my Taycan- all works fine, no complaints. However, I'd like to have a backup charger in the car for emergencies. I don't want to purchase an additional Porsche Mobile Charge ($2000+).

Have any of you used an after-market J-1772 version that you like? If so, which one?

PMCC is actually still nicely wrapped in my CT as a backup for me. I use ChargePoint at home and am very happy.

I’ve seen Mustart recommended frequently. I have a Watzilla hardwired EVSE at home and keep the PMC+ in the car.

you may have it backwards, you might consider buying a different evse for your home charging and use the pmcc as your mobile charger

I already have the PMCC kit wall mounted, so I’ll just go with an aftermarket mobile charging kit instead. Thx!

Tesla UMC Gen 2 w/Tesla Tap (which is useful on it's own) - and the Tesla UMC is small. light, rugged, and has a lot of optional NEMA plug adapters…it's the best mobile EVSE available - the mustart is my next choice - with equal billing…

I have the Mustart Travelmaster. It has replaceable supply leads to adapt to different plug types. I have used it multiple times on the road, and it works perfectly.

The wall mount is designed for easy removal of the charger for mobile use - can you just unclip it when you plan to travel? That's my plan, anyway.

Yes but knowing me, I'll forget it. I decided to just spend $300 for the peace of mind. I gotta put that frunk to use somehow.

I plan to stash mine in the "secret" compartment under the trunk when I take my road trip.
