Hi all,

Not sure whether I am doing something wrong, but we (the wife & myself) both have iPhones.

In the car settings, mine is set as default phone.

However, when we are both in the car with our phones, it quite often happens that her phone gets connected instead of mine (even though mine is set as default and bluetooth on my phone is enabled, etc. etc.).

Does anyone know how to avoid this? It's quite annoying.

I know Tesla has a nice mechanism where it detects the bluetooth connection based on the person that is approaching/taking place behind the steering wheel. That would be a nice option for the Taycan as well :)

Other question; we both have seperate keys and profiles in the car. I want to use the comfort access option (doors unlocking automatically when approaching the car). She doesn't want that.

If I enter the car with her key, her profile in the PCM is being populated. So that seems to work fine. However, if I disable the comfort access option on her key. It als gets disabled on my key/profile.

Anyone knows why? And how to fix this?

Thanks in advance!

I too get the same issue and me and the wife have Android phones.
unfortunately, if you're expecting anything "clever" from any of the Porsche software, you're going to be sadly disappointed. Porsche are too stubborn to employ/outsource competent software developers to make any of the Porsche software in any way a fraction of the usefulness of something like a tesla :-(

Phones - tap the icon in the notification centre if the wrong one is connected first otherwise enter the car first. I don't think you can prioritise. If originally set up with one key, primary user, and settings made and saved should be enough.

Again not sure but the comfort options are for the car and not the key. Key stores PCM settings, seat, mirrors, AC etc but binary if enabled in general for the car.

@Taycan1987 - the only fix is to delete your wife’s phone while she’s not around, then blame her lack of connection on PCM. Unless she has less faith in your reliability than the Porsche!

It's unreal that we are living in 2025 and Porsche cannot deliver a flawless bluetooth connection system/logic.

In the PCM under devices, you'll see a list of the devices, then you can just tap the carplay icon and it was swap to that phone.
