My 3D printed Taycan phone holder

Here's my take. Similar to others. But 3D scanned the console to get the exact profile, then printed so that the phone would be slightly angled. Tried to make it look a little cleaner. Will experiment some more if I can find a charger with a lead that isn't straight out.

Have Porsche black specific paint coming to paint match later on.

Is it just me or does the option is the second image look like it would be the least stressful to the factory part it attaches to? I'd go for this in a heartbeat.

Ugh. First day to hit 90 yesterday and my holder expanded and is now useless. Was using pla. Thinking of trying petg filament for the heat resistance.
It was perfect while it lasted (~5 months)! I increased the size by 6% so I could add some felt to the bottom to protect the leather.

Any of these vents magnets that come with a thin peace of metal that you can put inside your phone cover would work:

I just dismantled and screwed the magnet to the holder. Next version will be done with integrated grooves for Neodymium magnets inserted into them for minimalist design.

Here are more details on the 3D design where you can see the whole I made to screw the magnet, but could also be glued.

I tried many solutions (including ashtray) but finally went for the following :

it sticks with double tape, cable (6ft / 1.8m) runs from the in-console port. It is hardly noticeable when empty, at the same height of the other screens, doesn’t block the vent, and easy to interact with the phone with the left hand (i’m left handed). I can have the phone up or down with 2 magnets inside the case.

I’ve tried numerous solutions, and this one works best for me.
Primarily, I need something that allows me to glance at it (like Waze with radar positions) without taking my eyes off the road too much.”

-How many feet long is the charging cable?
-Link to the phone mount?
-Any concern with the adhesive ruining the glossy finish should you decide to remove?

- Just go out to take pictures, it's dark here, so flash photos, sorry. I will later find a better path by removing the panels below the steering wheel when I have some time. I need to find online a "how to" to be sure not to break anything
- The usb C to usb C cable is 2m long

I have a very similar solution (magnet plus usbc connector) exactly at the same place.

My only issue (besides being right handed so definitely no touching while driving) is that if I forget to take out the phone before leaving the car (or just need to do a quick exit) then in 90% of cases, my right knee hits the phone and sends it flying out on the pavement. So far no scratches, dents or broken screens but that can change.

Hello, since installation, never had this problem.
It's probably because the usb C cable is attached to the holder and not the phone, hence less chance to catch something with my knee.
And the magnet is VERY strong, the phone will probably stay in place when hit.

I don't have a 3D printer and would be interested in purchasing a "finished" one of these but I don't need a charging capability.

I did get a guy with a 3-D printer to create the one pictured but last time I contacted him he didn't reply so maybe he's no longer doing this kind of work. Anyway, if you can find the printable file you should be able to find someone locally who prints 3-D. Good luck!
