Hi forum,
I’ve moved over to the latest application- My Porsche and having difficulty with timers and profiles! Surprise surprise! On the old connect application you could set a profile - say preferred charge time and then set a timer to the maximum charge. For some reason I’m unable to set a profile on the new application. I just cannot find where they have hidden it. Does anybody have an idea? Or do I just have to make changes at the car? One further point, the new application does appear to connect to the car better, that’s the reason I wanted to stay with it.

Various features are missing from the My Porsche App nor is the app fully ready for use. Unless you want to be continually frustrated (more so than with the old app) I would advise you to remove it until it has been retired and / or Porsche make a formal announcement on it.

The old app is as much use as a chocolate teapot in my experience and not something I can rely on. When it does work then I can do what I need to do.

I tried My Porsche App for a while and due to the missing functionalities that you've experienced and the same connectivity reliability issues I removed it.

Use the My Porsche web page instead for now to access Timers / Profiles in full (plus a lot more besides - including the full technical specification of your car (options added etc)).

Tried both apps and web page. Gave up and just created a profile directly on the PCM.

I think you are correct, give the applications a miss until they are just one application AND functional. Will have a closer look at the web option. Maybe when the GTS’s arrive it will be sorted For us. You never know. . . .

The main hope is that the LTE connectivity is sorted properly as without a reliable connection on demand to the car any App is rendered useless. In my case it connects 1% of the time and I have a good home LTE connection.

I'm not saying the app is great or reliable, but is this available under "Details/Functions/Charging/Timer"?

You are correct in that the timer is editable on the MyPorsche app but you cannot create/edit a Charging Profile as yet which is a rather annoying omission that at some pt. presumably will get updated!

You can replicate this on the My Porsche web site but not the app. Note, you need connectivity to the car for any of this to work.

I'm using My Porsche app on an iPhone, version 1.21.44 build 62 I can set the charging profile this way:
Vehicle -> Details -> Functions -> Charging -> Timer
Tap on the Timer to edit it.

When I'm using the My Porsche app on Windows, you can set the charging profile this way:
My Porsche then under 'My Connect Services' select either 'Car Control' or 'E-Control' (editors note: the lack of a short cut to this set of functions shows how far behind Porsche is on applications and user interfaces). You'll find the charging profile at the bottom of the 'E-Mobility' tab.

As mentioned in post #7 a Timer is not the same as a Charging Profile - you cannot at this time edit/create a Profile in the MyPirsvhe app.

The web based edit is not relevant to the OP’s question which is about the App.

Correct. There is a Timer but no Profile setting in the my Porsche app.
My apologies if I misunderstood.

I don't know if anyone else is having an issue but both the app and the myporsche site stopped connecting to my car. it is more of an annoyance than anything else

It can be a hit or a miss which is the problem for many people.
Prob shooting myself in the foot but mine has never lost connection since I picked it up 10 days ago - OK, now I'm doomed :)
