Picked up my first EV yesterday. Better check to see if Hell has frozen over.
I was getting a little bored with my S4 as my Daily and wanted something a bit more plush but still fun to drive. I love the air suspension on my wife’s Macan S. I think it’s the normal course of getting old.
I was watching CPO Taycans get to a price that I was comfortable with for a daily driver. The base Taycan and Taycan 4S were just a little boring for me. I started searching Facebook marketplace and stumbled across this GTS only about 10 miles from me in San Clemente. Owner had only had it for a short time and decided he wanted a gas Porsche instead. It was a local car serviced at the local Porsche Irvine. I called my buddy over there and had him pull the history of the car for me. Everything checked out. It’s a 2022 with 12k miles on it. It had just had the tires replaced and aligned along with Brake Flush. The owner was asking $85k for the car which was a decent asking price. I got him down to $81k. Not bad for a car with $159k MSRP. If I enjoy the car, I’ll add an extended warranty to the car next year.
The car has all the right options. Premium Pack, Ventillated Seats, wheels, PSCB brakes in black, Neptune Blue is amazing. I couldn’t turn it down. It looks just so good.
Everything is in great condition. Plan is to change out the front side markers to clear, add some wheel spacers, and detail and protect the whole car and drive it. I just ordered a ChargePoint home flex for the garage so I’ll get that wired in next week.
Oh, one more thing. I used Keysavvy.com for the transaction. The owner had it registered in a Montana LLC with a lien on it. I asked him to use Keysavvy.comfor the transaction and I paid the $300 fees. It’s worked well so far and I should get the clean title package in about a week. They sent me a temp plate as soon as I accepted delivery and the previous owner printed it out for me and I threw it in for the ride home. Pretty slick service if you’re dealing with a little more complicated transaction.
More pics and details to come as start to incorporate this EV thing into daily living. I will be selling the Kemora S4 and be 100% in the Porsche camp after that with a 2024 Macan S, 2022 Taycan GTS, and 2022 718 Spyder
