Just got my 14-50 from the service center and it’s also twisted 180° like this. Guess they still had a supply of these.

Anyone have a new charger cable from Porsche? The plug on mine points away from the wall, and they’re trying to tell me that it

is OK to twist a 220 V cord to make it fit. And they replaced it because they were worried about causing fires?
MeWow, I have the same issue and they are telling me the same thing. Just twist it!! My question is why the original cable was manufactured just fine but the new one is rotated 180 away from the wall socket!!

I'm a Glutton for punishment. I had a perfectly working Chargepoint Flex and decided to install the PMCC. Installed the Hubbell 14-50 9450a recommended by Porsche, hardest part was finding the box cover. I want to see the integrated charge data in the app. A bit underwhelmed so far.

Looking at how the plug cord is bent for the Porsche wall cabinet, I elected to mount the unit upside down. Maybe the 14-50 receptacle is upside down for USA as my Chargepoint's plug orientation was this way (installed in accordance to Chargepoint recommended cord orientation.

I'm keeping the Chargepoint as back up and will make a long term decision after a few months (likely will go back to Chargepoint).

....and after one day of use. I elected to go back to Chargepoint Flex.

The Porsche App data is not as insightful as Chargepoint app. What a shame as it's a glorified dumb charger with Porsche branding and a form design that's only visually pleasing.

One issue I observed was that the Porsche charger maxed out at 8.8kw and my Chargepoint hits 9.25kw. This puts the Chargepoint at 42 amps.

Evidently, you prefer to learn from your own experiences (rather than from experience of others). ;)

Porsche one probably shows you the number after the losses (actual power going to battery), similar to the number inside the Taycan.

That's what I was thinking too. My Chargepoint also allows me to set the amperage at every tic, so I suppose I can set it bit more conservative.

Just compare the number shown on the EVSE to the number shown inside the car. Inside the car is the post-loss number.

is there a charging history archived log in the car?

I just came home to find the same issues. How did you resolve?
