Hi All,
My first post on the forum,
Just picked up my new Taycan Sports Tourismo 4S in Frozen blue with Grey leather and turbo aero wheels and lots of other options ticked. I ordered the car in December 2021, and it finally arrived in May but was part of the stop sale campaign. So far just driven the car 10 miles home and am delighted with car and colour, which I was not sure about as I had not seen one in that colour.

Welcome and congratulations. You were brave ordering FB without having seen it on a car- I was concerned that it might be too sparkly, so was glad the next nearest dealership had 2 examples to view, and I was blown away by it. Enjoy!

Thank you for your comments, I originally ordered Cherry red, but had to change as the dealer said it was no longer available, glad I changed now. Just been for a little drive without the other half and tried out sports plus mode, acceleration was phenomenal.

acceleration was phenomenal.

Acceleration is nice, but take it on some winding roads and then post how you feel about it. It’s pretty amazing what they were able to achieve with this heavy vehicle.

Thank you everyone for your comments, the dealer is offering 3 years tire and alloy insurance for £600, he says it covers up to 5 new tires and 10 alloy repairs, over the 3 years, and if you have a puncture they will replace rather than repair the tire. It seems like a good deal to me, as I managed to destroy 2 tires in a pot hole on my Range Rover recently at a cost of £800 and have curbed many wheels due to my poor parking, (this car has the surround view cameras so no excuse!) Any comments on if they pay out without fuss, or any better alternatives?

Looks brilliant. I love the frozen colours, this is really eyecatching and the interior goes perfectly with it! Just picked up my ST 4S too, last week. Haven’t tested the acceleration because young kids + vomit scenario BUT I did the driving experience day and tested the acceleration and brakeing on their car instead! Easier on my tyres…

Congratulations and the car looks awesome. I’m still waiting on my Taycan CT 4S ordered early Jan 2022. Made but not issued due to stop sell.

I guess that the types of policies and their providers vary a lot between individual Porsche dealers- mine for instance offer a policy for both wheels and minor cosmetic repairs to the body, but they don't offer anything covering tyres. Mine uses a mobile repairer, if a wheel needs a lathe repair then they instead contribute £110 or if needs replacing, £150 (limit of 10 wheel claims per year). I've just had a lathe repair done this way without fuss. Obviously the cover is nowhere near the cost of a new wheel, and diamond cut wheels will each only be able to lathe repaired a few times, but even so, I reckon my policy is worthwhile. Yours with cover for the tyres even more so.

For tyres and alloys I used TotalLossGap, was about £400 I think and far cheaper than the dealer. Someone on here recommended them

Yes it was a shame about cherry red. I suffered that too after a 15 month wait. I now have a blue CT4s
