I received a hard copy. Dealer did not even attempt to highlight what might be different from the old manual. My guess is that the new manual is a big CYA attempt by Porsche in the event that somebody burns down their house using the defective mobile charger. Just a guess.

Yes I received one, but the online version is a lot better. You can search on what you are looking for. The printed manual is a waste of money and totally unnecessary in todays world!

I didn't even receive a hard copy manual when I collected my car in Feb 2020 – "due to COVID" !?!

Same here, but I knew it was a replacement manual.

I thought they were supposed to dispose of the old manual and give you the new one form a legal perspective ?

I doubt that there are any legal requirements here - if so then they would be forced to ensure everyone had a copy, which as we know they generally don't care or indeed know.

I still don't have mine as I had to go to the dealership to pick it up as they didn't have them in stock when the uPdate was applied.

It took four months to get the original manual when I first got the car.

At the end of the day it is not really needed given the manual (main points) are covered on line and the fuller manual available in Porsche Good To Know. I suspect they'll want to phase hard copy out at some point.

Here in France, I have not even been offered a new manual. As you state it is available in the app (MyPorsche) so not necessarily needed. I do not get the new updated version as a separate Good to Know app though.

PGTK app is unfortunately 'locked' to your VIN (my guess) and so you can't download the current edition. It could be this gets updated in time.

Manual is also available with videos etc on My Porsche Website.

I thought that too. In fact, right at the beginning of this video, Richard Symons says Porsche have to take the old manual and destroy it...

Seems entirely wasteful, unnecessary, oh and environmentally unfriendly.

Very little has changed in the manual!

Agreed - not to mention the cost !

Easier to do a pamplet which is an addendum to the original manual and highlights the changes.

Imagine all those people who read the manual at night ! :)
