As F1eng says in the UK, 32 Amp supply will top out at 7.4 Kwh whatever charger you use (single phase which is the norm). 20% to say 85%, simply divide 65% of usable battery by 7ish to get charge time. 12 hours will happily do 0 to 100% near enough.

Being pedantic it's 65% of 84kWh (usable capacity) divided by 7ish. Which should mean under 8hrs.

But if anyone ever finds a really accurate formula, let me know ?

Congratulations, and I hope everything goes smoothly for you. I debated back and forth for quite a bit as to whether I would purchase any additional dealer insurance covering wheels and tyres, and eventually decided not to do it.

With your wheels costing more than double mine, though, I probably would have chosen to get it, so I'd recommend at least asking the dealer how much that would cost.

Thanks people. Quick question but how long does it take to charge from from 20% - 80% on a commando socket? Weighing up whether to install a charger or use the one that comes with it

Congratulations on your new Taycan! The charger that comes with the Taycan is housed in a very large cumbersome metal cabinet. While you can elect not to install the cabinet, and just have the charger connect from socket to car, it is a bit cumbersome. As I have solar and Tesla Powerwall installed, I went with the Tesla Wall Connector (charger) and it looks great and works perfectly. It all integrates into the Tesla app which is excellent. The Porsche app also shows charging status from the Wall Connector. I’ve kept the charger that came with the Taycan for resale of the car at some point and also if I am doing a road trip I can take it with me if I get stuck and need to connect to regular house hold power outlet.
