Mines gone in today for its 5 heater and a new charging port but they’ve told me they’ll only fit an 11kw port as there are no 22kw available. They’ll compensate me and have the car in again when the 22s are available.
They’ve also put it in privacy mode for some reason while they have it.

I understand there have been numerous failures of the 22kW charger so I hope this isn't a prelude to you being told it is no longer available, like on the new version.
Is this the first time yours has failed?

It’s not failed as such, I’ve an issue with the door getting jammed historically but no problem with the port.

So the assumption is that 22kw OBCs will be back in stock eventually? I thought they were completely phased out.

That would be great news. Hopefully they'll bring a new batch with an improved reliable design.

My charger has been replaced months ago and still the compensation Is nowhere final in writing nor has it surfaced on my side.

To be honest someone just telling me something in uncertain terms doesn‘t convince me, too often this is just cheap talk. Nothing official (or written) from Porsche itself. I have just been told that the 22KW charger is to be replaced, no nothing further.

Don‘t get me wrong, I would really Hope that it happens, because I used that charger a lot.

They’ve asked for my bank details. We’ll see I guess.

Some fun facts. 22KW at 220-240 VAC is 80-90 AMPS. I know of no homes that can provide that kind of charging. 11KW is 40-45 AMPS, which is what most homes are set up to handle.

11KW isn't a big deal.

back in August, my dealer said that they don’t have any info when/if 22kw charger will be available again 🤷‍♂️ but he heard that they’ll have it somewhere in the future…also e-cayenne should have it.

Over here in Europe for big Energy consuming devices it is not 230VAC but 400V 3phase. Here in germany you need a permit for it, not every area has the capacity or sometimes the cabling is not up to it. Often it can be done. However lots of local energy providers support that, even our small town has more than 10 of 22KW public chargers.
