my Taycan was maxed out at charging 6 kW - I speculated/guessed/fumed that Porsche might've nerf'd all our Charging speeds as a "further safety" measure for their known crappy PMC+/PMCC

to be clear - I was 100% wrong - after rebooting all my EVSE's - and plugging in from scratch I'm getting a blissful 10.x kW (as expected)

TO BE CLEAR I WAS WRONG - THERE IS NOTHING TO SEE HERE - BUT FOR A MOMENT I HAD THOUGHTS. THEY WERE WRONG THOUGHT AND FALSE THOUGHTS - BUT THEY WERE THOUGHTS.

jumping to conclusions is a super power of mine…it's a blessing and a curse - those with more wisdom that I can speculation as to the exact percentage mix of "blessing & curse" :CWL: in my life given this superpower.

To be safe, I would get rid of the car. There’s a potential something serious could happen. You can never be too cautious.

Scrap the car, nothing can be done about it. I'll give you a shiny nickle for it to take it off your hands though. Heck, I'll even throw in a sack of freshly minted wooden pennies.

you guys are all correct - now that I think about it - ok I"m putting my 2020 Taycan on "bring a trailer" no reserve - we'll get rid of it and go back to a model 3 performance…it already has supercharger network access.

I think Dave has a pretty cool go-cart on order.

@daveo4EV did that RS show up yet?
it arrived Dec. 8th…

it's a bit down on power/HP (525 mph at something called 8400 RPM????). vs. my 2020 Taycan Turbo and it's the base RWD model (not AWD like my Turbo) - but we're through the 932 mile break in period, and it's been all setup for the track now (roll bar, harness, brake fluid, and track alignment). On plus side it's sports sound is so realistic…and it's charge time to 100% is about 7-12 minutes - range is a solid 350 miles, unless you're tracking it, it's drag co-efficeint is way way worse than the Taycan and varies due to the active aerodynamics - all in all it's quite a bit less efficient that the EV's I'm used to and I'm not sure it's going to be suitable vs. say a Taycan - but we'll try it out and see if it "fits". I'm told to expect great things by neanderthal petrol heads. I'm still looking for the "regen" braking settings - and the technical power meter in the center display seems to have some meaningless numbers…

it lacks:
  • massage seats
  • memory seats
  • heated/ventilated seats
  • heated steering wheel
  • pano roof
  • innodrive/acc
  • LCA
  • ALK
  • power charge port cover
  • PDCC
  • air suspension
  • cabin air filter/ionizer
  • night vision
  • HUD
  • surround view
  • remote park assist
  • passenger display
  • no center haptic display
I mean the options list is quite sparse I don't know what I was thinking - it does have RWS, torque vectoring, and a 7 speed transmission and does 0-60 in 3 seconds in launch control.

we'll see if I can make due with it - it might not compare to the Taycan…

Congrats, @daveo4EV , the car looks great if a bit low on spec (by your own account). Not to worry, though, @007 is probably on standby with his $20 should you need to get rid of it.

I’d say it’s a keeper - seems to be charging faster and goes longer than a Tesla?

@daveo4EV very sorry to hear about your poverty spec. Hopefully it at least has a powered gas flap? I’d hate for anyone to see you having to open or close it manually.
