PCM Replacement in 25 4S

My Porsche Connect app locked up and froze about 3 weeks ago, and now it only shows the charge state and my Taycan's location where I was when it froze. I get no updates on anything else in the Connect app (iOS).

I took my 25 4S (delivered in Feb 25) to my dealership and they kept it for a week for troubleshooting, but couldn't fix it.
Porsche Germany is now shipping them a replacement Connect hardware module for my car which they will replace later this month.

Anyone else have this issue or something similar?
I'm aware of some others who have had similar but it cleared after a couple weeks, but I'm going on a month now with it frozen like this.

Search on this forum for the WRV3 workshop campaign.
The dealer needs to perform software updates on several modules.
Mine was similarly broken as you described and getting WRV3 fixed it.

The dealer needs to perform software updates on several modules.
Mine was similarly broken as you described and getting WRV3 fixed it.
Thanks, but not sure that's the same issue as mine. All my car functions work, except that my Porsche Connect app on my iPhone no longer updates.

They had the car for a week and tried resetting and updating everything, but now say they need to replace the hardware module.

Just as FYI - this is my current version numbers for the various software components.

My 2025 vehicle was dropped off last Friday to look at this for the second time. My apps last update was February 3 and I can’t log into my PCM at all. Support can’t figure it out and I’ve been in contact with them to provide pictures and such. They said they need to work with Service to reset something. I did mention WRV3 to Support but said I had all the updates. It was delivered in December 2024.

So I’ll see what happens. Should get updates in a few days. At least I was provided a Macan EV4S to drive around in for the time being.

Mine had a similar issue and required control module replacement. I took delivery at beginning of January and the issue happened 2 weeks after. Porsche connect app could not connect to the vehicle. Dealer tried disconnecting 12V battery and several other things. Finally had to open ticket with Porsche and took a control module from another 25 Taycan to see it work again. So that’s when they ended up ordering a replacement module. Was in the service center for about a week. After control module replacement things have been working but it was not a great experience on a brand new vehicle.

Yep, same here. Opened a ticket with Germany who tried to reset the connection without success and then asked that I book it in for dealer to reset Conbox High module. Tech at dealer advised they have limited success with resetting so will probably need a new module. Ot going in next week when I get back from France

Each time it has worked for about 1.5-2 months then it comes back.. going in to PC for the 4th time this week, Germany suggested replacing the conbox again, i have little faith in that. Especially since Porsche announced that the new 2026 models coming this summer will have a whole new PCM (New hardware and software).
Hoping we with the refreshed 2025 will be able to get the hardware upgrade!

Agree something seams to be broken with the PCM in the 2025 models... Thats the main reson for why im hoping that Porsche will come to their senses and update the PCM hardware on a model that isnt even a year old. Honestly i feel cheated, i purchased a "new" model of Taycan for the specific reason that it will not be updated with new hardware/functions within the short future.

Here's to hoping that the new hw module they are sending from Porsche Germany and being installed in my Taycan on Apr 25th is the updated one from the 26 Taycan.

The software is several versions newer however, so it could be a software issue

Lovely location. I visit friends in Oakville when I'm over from the UK. I didn't even realise the Porsche Centre was there. I've popped into the Pfaff one in Vaughan a few times.
