OP is MY21 and I think this appeared on MY22 and as mentioned by @ciaranob may be part of the Track Precision app and Porsche Connect service - https://newsroom.porsche.com/en/202...cision-app-panamera-cayenne-taycan-26649.html - so an additional (cost?) item to subscribe to.
Do you have Sport Chrono option on the right “tube” on the instrument cluster or is that missing too? I have a MY2020 and that is the only place my Sport Chrono resides. There is no separate app in the PCM for MY2020. It may be that is the case for MY2021 as well and only the updated PCM in MY2022 cars have it. But if you don’t see it in your right tube then you have an issue worth speaking to your dealer about.
No, the sport chrono icon on the PCM is also there if you do not have the Track Precision app. As mentioned before. I have a MY22 and do have the icon for sport chrono but no Track Precision app.
This is correct - I was not suggesting that the PCM icon needed the TP app (apologies if caused confusion there) but that they do work together in respect a cool feature.
Ok, yeah that's true it's a cool feature if you track your car.

But my point is you don't have to track your car in respect going to an official race track
- you can use any stretch of road(s) to set up your own 'track', where you can then play with aspects of what is measured in track runs - of course not even close to the same, but extends the utility beyond actual race tracks ... and of course I am not suggesting we do anything illegal here !
