Hey wondering if anyone has seen this before. My new 2022 Taycan 4s is stuck on the Porsche screen... Drives fine and everything. CarPlay still seems to work, but no map in the driver display.

I rebooted into engineering mode 3 times and restarted. No luck. Any ideas here gents? Otherwise I'm taking it to Porsche tomorrow.

This happened to me one about a week ago but when I stopped at my next stop and turned the vehicle off & locked it for about 30 minutes and when I came back it worked as normal again but then a week later the vehicle stopped communicating with the Porsche servers so the Porsche app is frozen at 7:59pm on 7/27 and it won’t update so on our iPhones we can’t connect to the vehicle to check status, lock/unlock the vehicle or anything else.
The app does show the vehicle is not locked and the left & right rear windows are open. I checked the vehicle but it is locked and the windows are closed.
I’ve made an appointment to bring it to my dealer to get it checked.

After many years of coping with this kind of stuff, I realized I did not want to be a BETA tester any more. Porsche makes some great cars..but they do NOT make great software...

I thought I was going to avoid most of these annoying issues by buying a 2021 delivered in 2022 but evidently I didn’t wait long enough for Porsche to work the bugs out.

Mine was a 21 also ..but, in following this forum, it appears that later models are having many software issues also. VW invested a lot in Rivian to try to improve this - an admission that the vaunted German engineers are struggling with the software side of tech (mightily).

That’s disheartening but it appears to be reality since my service advisor tells me he see similar issues with even the 2025s. I asked him if these issues extend to any of the ICE vehicles and he said no so it makes me wonder what Porsche is doing differently between ICE & EVs in terms of communications & software?
