It's all in a tight spot, not loads of room for expansions. But I have plans to integrate a usb-c connection, it will be a later activity that I postponed at this stage.

I totally get wanting to finish what you set out to do first, then improve in a subsequent project. It's easy to get lost in infinite loop of wanting to add more improvements to existing projects, but that risks the project never getting done. I'm doing a Euro light retrofit right now. Found out along the way that Taycans may actually support animated tail lights with just a little extra wiring, Decided against pursuing it, at least for now, as it would delay the project I'm doing, plus I don't really care about animated tail lights.

You need to define a project scope, avoid running into project scope creep. I made 20 versions of my phone box in total, it's a part of developing ?

Looks great! Does anybody know if this modification would cause a dealer to say, "You did this, so the warranty is void?" Might depend on what country you live in.

The dealership always has their arms around your warranty's neck, gun pointed to its head.

Not in the US, unless it was a really botched dashcam install and manufacturer managed to prove it caused the damage which was claimed under warranty.

In other words it sounds like an urban legend.
That said, it’s always good to install 3rd party accessories in a way which allows you to disconnect them easily in case service suspects the installation is causing an issue, for example, mu dashcam install in the Taycan is using the dashcam pre-wire, but I still routed the power connector near the mirror so I can disconnect the whole thing in about 60s should service ask.

I purchased one of these from EPV77 and installed it over the weekend. Works great and highly recommend this! It looks great and the phone charger is far more practical then the factory charger in the armrest compartment.
