Plug-and-charge used to work (eg on Ionity in Europe) and now doesn’t. The setting to enable it (battery > … menu > activate plug and charge) is greyed out. When I try to turn on the checkbox it says “function not available”. Anyone know why?

My Porsche Charging Service card is valid (it still works at Ionity) and it has a valid method of payment. I asked the OPC to address this during a service but they appear not to have known what to do.

At one point I was unable to plug & charge. Thought it was Electrify America. Later when I checked PCM, plug & charge option was not even displayed as an option to select. This was a month or so after the car's on-board charger had been replaced.
I took it to dealer, who connected PIWIS device to car. Immediately after that, plug & charge option was displayed, I could activate it, and it worked.
May need to be "reset" by dealer service.

Is the option greyed out all the time, or just when your car is connected to fast charger?

Have you found a solution to this? I am having the same problem.
OPC did a full reset of the car which made the issue go away. (I also lost many settings including the places where suspension should lift, so check carefully on return.)

Just in case others have this problem: in my case (MY25 4CT), simply uninstalling and resetting the Plug&Charge certificate was enough to fix the problem. No full reset needed beyond that.

How is that done?

In the My Porsche app, go to the charging settings and then tap on the cogwheel. You can then uninstall the Plug and Charge certificate and request it again.

Note that this process clears out all existing charging settings, departures, history, etc., so it's pretty intrusive.
