Firstly, how did you get Porsche to respond to you? I have tried emailing them twice and only get the auto reply 'We got your mail'.
Has anyone heard wether they are going to replace the defective chargers with one that actually can safely charge at 100%?
with the proper/recommended NEMA socket in North America Porsche "feels" they have no more issues with their Product. They have made this clear in in their NTHSA document.

I think the document above is pretty clear on that position.

as this point in time baring further data I'm betting Porsche considers any issues "resolved" and the product needs no further improvements.

we all have opinions about that (mine is pretty clear) but Porsche is satisfied at this point.

And that is why it is still in the shrink wrap.

When I raised concern related to Porsche's recommended setting to be set at 50% of what it was capable of (20A versus 40A) I did get a favorable response as outlined below:

While your residence may not be affected, out of abundance of caution, and to help prevent any damage, the default current was set to 50% or 20A. Your charger does have the capacity to charge at 100% or 40A.

If not done so already, we recommend having an Electrician inspect the electrical outlet you use to charge your Porsche Taycan, to ensure it is up to latest code. Our recommended receptacle is a Hubbell HBL9450A NEMA 14-50 220v. If your household electrical system is up to code, you can choose to revert your Porsche Mobile Charger current setting to 100% or 40A.

So...I after confirming I am up to code...I am upping to 40A again! Crazy fire drill but at least I am able to get what I expected.
So how were you able to up the charger back to 40A again? I have the Mobile Charge Connect Plus… which was working fine until it had to comply with the recall, and having the dealership manually set the max charge level at 100% now at 20A.

This is weird, since my charger used to charge at 40A (100%) and 20A (50%)…

But now my 100% is at 20A and 50% at 10A

I contacted my dealership (Porsche San Diego) and they said due to the recall the max that will be allowed to charge us 20A?!

Thus, making my $2000 Charger the most crappiest charger of all time.

I have emailed PCNA on a couple of occasions - the most recent was 2 months ago requesting to know how long the PWCC was warranted for. I received an actual reply (besides autoreply) about 3 weeks after my email. I had sent a follow up email 2 weeks after the first.
Reply in 3 weeks after email to PCNA (after 2nd follow up email) is about usual, from what I have experienced. If you want email reply, be ready to wait 3 weeks and follow up.
The PCNA responses always start with apologizing for the delay.

Once I postal mailed a letter to PCNA vice-president of customer experience. Email response to my letter came in 3 weeks.
