Porsche Experience - Silverstone

I was there in Feb 24 and had two vouchers so took my brother.
It was a great driver day and a tasty lunch pre the driving (or breakfast if you attend the morning session)

We had choice of whatever car we wanted (we joked that the car park to the rear was “the library” and they must have had 150 cars parked and appearing ready for use, but they ask you to select a car when you book the session so have one in mind in advance of that question and maybe a standby if your 1st choice isn’t available.

It’s a very good day - track parts a little monotonous but still great fun finding the lines and pushing on hard, passing a few drivers, and the various tests and skid pans are super and display the handling technology designed and used by Porsche.

As others have said, it is free food for 1 guest and you can split the driving If you want. About £450 for a driving guest in a second car. You can choose a different car if you want, but the whole point is to explore the limits of one like you bought. Have fun!

Does anyone know if charging is still free? Read a few older posts but wondering what the current position is.

Despite mine being for when I bought the CT4 they’ve let me pick a GTS although likely saloon over ST

Had a great morning here and had 2 vouchers to use from the 2 Taycans. I asked if they would swap the 2nd one to a Boxster for my daughter and duly obliged. Had a great day, learned a lot about the car's technology and how it made me a 'better' driver. Then we hit the skid pans, switched off all th tech and.....LOL! The instructors were great and swapped us over so my daughter drove the Taycan for the last 1hr so now knows what her dad drives daily !thoroughly recommend if you have the chance

Hello,

Along with my Taycan 4S, I got an invitation to the Silverstone Experience Day. A couple of questions for the people who have done it already:

- Will this be with Taycans or different cars? (I already did a corporate event day there, and it was with GT3s and 911 GTS)
- Does anyone know how much the "exclusive guest rate" is to bring a +1 to the track?

I've attended several times complete with guest. No charge and not limited to the car i bought (which I didn't drive on the day).

Rules may change of course.

Have 2 in the bank to use but tbh it can be a faff to get to and a bit samey after a while. I've gifted before and may do so again.

Overall a great experience (you've paid for it in the purchase price of the car).

Yep - you get an experience with every car and can have up to two years to cash it in. The experience has been around for quite some years.

Had my experience today. What a fantastic session from start to finish. Lovely food lovely setting great instructor (Eunan) and just had a brilliant time.

The experience is pretty exciting at times and I loved it and learnt a lot about the Taycan. Such a capable car.

Tempted to do another one in a 911.

Wish rest of the day had been as good. Still on my way into London - left Silverstone at 1:35. It’s currently 7:47 and I’ve moved 1 mile in 3hrs near Greenwich.

Just booked mine for early October, chose the rwd that I have, and paid £30 for my wife to join as a guest. I've done the land rover days a few times, and really enjoyed them, you always pick something up thats useful. Last time I was on the circuit was on my road bike on a sponsored event, you notice the gradients more when you are pedalling!

Yes, and the booking expires after 48 hrs if you don't pay.

i’m doing an all day thing on sept 20th w/911GTS while I am in England dropping my daughter for a year study abroad program in England - i’m so excited - was a last min thing and I had narrow date requirements - so excited to drive this track! found a experience that will work for me!

That's great! Well, now I'm even more excited to be there that day- I booked their 991 GT3 RS AND now I finally get to meet a fellow forum member! In my case there's slight trepidation too, never having even sat in a 911, but my instructor has been encouraging me to try something better suited than the Taycans I've had on previous sessions.
Incidentally, from those sessions, I'm assuming we'll again be using the International Circuit (1.85 mls) configuration, so from Village to Chapel rather than Aintree, and using the F1 pits.

i’d love to do the RS - i’m in a novice precision one day course - not sure how much track time i’ll get - but it’s what was open for booking on a day i could go - so we take what we can get!

hopefully i’ll have some fun - but something more advanced would be better for me - but no dates for anything else that i saw!

i’ll be back to visit daughter and i’ll plan head!
