Using PMCC as wallbox since 10 months in Germany.
A solid solution, no issues at all and a good looking piece, even without the housing.
Porsche in Germany uses the PMCC themselves as 22 kW chargers so it cannot be that bad.

I use a PMCC in the US with a 60A breaker, 240v, set to 40A, and get 9.6kw charge rate. I use it daily and permanently installed.

Yeah that's what I was suggesting. Simply planting (or cementing) a wooden post into the ground and bolt the unit into it. You'll still need a mounting bracket though. Care to share a pic.ofnyoyr setup
Here you go. Not hardwired in. I just bought a 50A welder extension cord and a NEMA 16-50R to NEMA 6-20P adapter and plugged it into the outlet I have for my table saw. That's why you see the cable on the ground, running under my garage door.

My original plan was to mount it to the end joist of the front porch (if I stay in the house), but I'm starting to like the post a lot better. Just need to paint it to match the house when it warms up a bit.

So I have a question: my PMCC (I guess all of them) comes with 2 possible plugs for a 220-240V net, one for a monophase system (which seems to be limited to 16A) and a triphase plug reporting 32A. So with the 16A plug I cannot reach more than 3,52kwh in charging even if my house provides up to 10kw? Am I correct? If that s the case I am afraid PMCC will not be an option since I will maintain a monophase net in my house… am I missing something?

Hi, I am just temporarily using my PMCC for a couple of charges, and wanted to know if it is at all weatherproof? I have it running to my car, but sitting on the ground under my other car's bumper to try to keep it relatively dry, but not guaranteed to keep it dry, if it rains. Will this be an issue or should I bring it in, if it rains? Thanks.

PMCC is IP55 rated:

Protected from damage by dust. It can still enter the device, but not in quantities that will affect it. Products with an IP5 rating may include junction boxes, outdoor lights, waterproof toolboxes, motion detectors and electric vehicle charging cables

Protected from jets of water from any direction with no harmful effects. Products may include fire-rated downlights, security cameras, isolators, bathroom extractor fans, humidistats, and central heating pumps.

My neighbour keeps his outside and has done so without protection for 3 years now.

I have mine indoors in the dock.

I have my PMCC on a single phase supply with a dedicated 32A fused run from the main fuse board. This provides 7.4kW. Perfect.

To ensure you have 32A from supply to PMCC to car then all components must be 32A rated.

Looks like you have been given a 32A tail and should be fine providing you have a 32A fused supply.

Thanks Adrian. Sounds like it should be ok then. ?. I only plan to use it a couple of times, never used it before hence why I was not certain. I will be using public chargers mostly, until my home charger is back up and running.

I only have this as my home EVSE and has been flawless for 4 years now. No need to use / have anything else.
