So I recently purchased a Taycan 4 CT secondhand with only 4000 miles on it. The car came without doing all 6 recalls which I waited for a month to do.
So my initial thoughts on the car was that it was very buggy. Just the first week these are a few issues I was dealing with.
1. Ghost breaking
2. The car sometimes can startup when I step on the brake pedal and sometimes I need to manually press the power button
3. The cars CARPLAY is very bipolar, sometimes it just won't connect or it will keep tabbing back to the home screen
4. My frunk pops open randomly when I enter the vehicle
5. The front passenger headrest had a rattle
I figured it will all go away since 6 recalls seems to be quite a lot
After getting the car back a whole series of a new issues came up
1. My LKA stopped working even when both green lines appear to be aligned, it directs me right into walls
2. My ACC doesn't work properly, it doesn't break unitl it gets uncomfortably close or breaks extremely hard
3. "Emergency call function error" pops up occasionally
4. CARPLAY fails to connect occasionally
5. My car overcharges over 85% while I have the same settings as pre-recall
6. "Camera function and speed limit function turned off"
7. Rear seat headrest started rattling loudly

So...now my car is back in the shop getting things done again. I feel like I am spending more time with these loaners than my own car :D
Just want to know whether any of you owners are facing similar issues and any luck?

This may be why, got second hand with low mileage? -> kinda of monkey jumping to another shoulder to not say rotten lemon.
Sometime bugs can’t fixed or not worth to be fix….
I maybe lucky, but beyond the alarm issue fix now - my 22 CT4 is certainly not flawless, locking, armrest, phone charger, phone recetion etc…. at the this is an amazing car, one of the best not best I had privilege to own and drive!

Sorry to hear this. Did you buy from a Porsche dealer? If so, it was pretty irresponsible for them to sell without doing the updates.

Sorry to hear…i have ct4 my21….without any problems from your list….only carplay has its own “logic” when/how (not) to work…
Speaking about that: i noticed that problem with connection occurs after update to iOS16….so, if remember right, it was quite similar after any iOS update in the past, so maybe it’s not completelly Porche’s fault?

It was actually bought from a private party because he had a 992 911 c4s that landed and he did not want a second car.

Honestly any infotainment system from Porsche just generally isn't good. I've owned at least 7 P cars and none of them qualify. They definitely drive superior to others which is why I still stick with it haha.

I agree, I've heard plenty of issues with the Taycan from previous owners too so i am definitely not the only one. The drive and the handling makes up for these little issues, but still.... I wish I can use the options that came with the car.
