Btw, a note about J1.2 that I have not seen discussed on this forum.

If you have Auto Regen and you have either traction control activation below a certain wheel torque or ABS activation above a certain negative desired torque (regen), then you get a white notification in the dash "Automatic Recupration not available" and it switches to "Regen Off".
You can re-enable it immediately if you like though.

This basically means it's too slippery out to use automatic recuperation. J1.1 did not have this issue.

Since over here 3-4 months of the year you're driving the car constantly on the limit due to the low traction available, then this is kinda interesting.
I run with recup on all the time and have never had it knocked out :\

Recuperation on does not get knocked out. Only the "auto". Happens when there's ice on the road, probably not an issue where you're from ;)

E.g. for me with the Taycan 4 tuning did not start making any difference at city speeds until about 3 weeks ago until the temps went above zero, there was just not enough traction - even with just 435 hp.

Good news, the suspension strut is coming. Car booked into dealer for Tuesday morning.
Also have a creaking sound when the rear RSE monitor is in a certain position and there is no passenger in the front - the seat back vibrates and the hinge creaks. Didn't have that on Turbo S, probably needs lubricating.

Do you have your tune installed yet?
Installed and uninstalled like 3 times already :D

Bending over and praying to the CT trunk god has become a bi-weekly ritual.
Hopefully all this stuff gets sorted and I don't have to worry about anything else.

Car has been completely solid apart from this suspension error in complete cold and small rattle.

Nice, I had a strut replaced because it used to make a knocking sound whenever I went over bumps. They inspected it, found an leak, and replaced it under warranty.

Going back to the tune install/uninstall, I was thinking you could cut a small square section out of the lining that covers it and use a 3D-printed frame to hold the cut-out piece. That way, it could act as a flap and be removed easily with a screw release.

Another thing that can be done is the wiring harness extended and throw the controller in the left side storage area, then cover it with something so it's not blatantly obvious.

I wish there was a way to make the ASG an OBD dongle. Remove it and the it goes back to stock.

Not gonna happen unfortunately. If you flash the stock ASG once then it's flagged as tuned in the HSM and there's no way to reset that flag.
That's why we don't touch the stock controller, we can flash it of course.

I'm talking to Marc, we might make an ASG relocation kit - unless the dealer does some work in the back car (e.g. rear drive module replacement) then it's not really fishy.
And electronically it's fine.

A kit would be a great idea. CT is difficult compared to sedan, but I dont like bending the side cover anyway.
This kit would make it much easier

We'll see what we come up with - needs a harness extension and then some sort of 3d printed gadget that slots into the storage slot and holds the ASG.

If possible you need a harness with a switch. Both controllers installed at all times, and the switch allows you to toggle between original and custom module :)
How do you propose switching 68 pins with high current?
Crosspoint switches come in milliamps. I don't think you realize what you're asking for.

Some digital signals that don't have impedance constraints could be connected to both controllers without switching, but all the analog stuff can't, it has to be physically switched over.

I've been debating whether or not to tune and something like this would definitely make me more likely to purchase..... .
