Just Got my 2023 Taycan GTS ST back from the Dealer. Battery Sealant Recall check took one day. The DEALER also replaced a pressure valve as part of the recall check and upgraded the PCM software as part of another service bulletin. No issues with the Battery thankfully.

Mine’s booked in for end of Dec for the PCM recall. They said anywhere from 2 to 4 hours. Baffled why they can’t do these over the air

Maybe they are busy, just had confirmation from Preston Porsche that they are quoting an hour and a half time slot.

I got this recall last Thursday and it was a 1h00 job. So far so good, no bug detected since.

I got told 2 to 4 hours for WPN8 - which does seem like a long time! I told them, I’d wait up to 2 hours, any more and I want to go home as it’s the school holidays - so they better give me a loaner. First available slot for the work 20th December!

And if I remember correctly, wasn't one of the benefits of uPdate that it would make OTA updates easier to execute going forward?

That's what I thought. It's annoying to have to drive an hour to the dealer to sit for 1.5 (up to 4?! I guess they think their Internet might play up) only to then drive an hour home. So effectively a day of my time for a software update.

They would easily stipulate it must be connected to the mains, at least 80% battery etc and then do it remotely

…wonder if these OS updates require down load, then corrections addicted/edited and reload…..might explain why the need to go to the dealer and not over the air as it won’t work

I suspect there’s a reasonable chance of the WPN8 update process bricking the car if it goes wrong. I’m sympathetic to that having worked in IT for 30 years!

Annoyingly my dealer wants the car for the whole day just “to be safe”

Surely they can always just turn it off and turn it back on again?

I only found about my car having two recall notices from this forum....my My Porsche phone app has no notifications on it but when I saw the laptop screenshot of another member I thought I'll login on my laptop and there they were! Surely notifications should also be made on the App?
