Does anyone know how to remove the A pillars?
I can get the top of the A pillar to come out a bit, but I can't budge it from there?
Any help out there?
Thanks

The tab nearest the orange strap needs to be partially released so that the backing clip can be slid out in order to release it. This is a safety issue design to stop the entire a-pillar trim flying out like shrapnel when the airbag behind it is deployed.

You use a hook to pull it up and out so that the clip can fully released and you can remove the trim.

Getting the backing clip back on is a pain in the arse.

Thank you for the quick response.
I tried finding that clip but there is so much stuff in the way I couldn't find it?
I've read your supposed to press something from the top that I couldn't find either.
Am I supposed to use a tool too pop that middle clip? I've tried pulling on it inward and toward the back and it wouldn't release.
Thanks

It’s quite simple. Release the A pillar from the top as far as it goes. The clip nearest the top won’t fully release until you pull out the backing plate. The backing plate has a hole in it. You need to use a hook to access it from behind at the top of the A-pillar. You then pull it up towards the top of the A-Pillar and this allows the A-pillar trim to be fully released. The orange strap is attached by a push fixing which is much easier to remove.

I wanted to say Thank you for all your help.
It was a Complete Success and I took some pictures for everyone too.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the look of the Alcantra.
I think I'm going to do the rest of the headliner too.
A Pillars aren't as bad as everyone said to remove orput back in.
So anyone else wanting to do it it's Not that Bad.
Here's the pictures I took.

Thanks for posting. What did you use to hook the backing plate during removal of the A pillar trim?

I took a flat head screw driver and pushed the silver hold tab inward and it popped right off.
To install just put all your pieces back on the A Pillar. It makes it pretty easy to reinstall.
Here's the other pics that wouldn't load.

Looks like you need to find out how to replace steering wheel next.
Your parents must have had a crystal ball when they named you.

Great stuff! I was just looking to see how I can remove the A pillar to route a dashcam wire but love all the mods you've done!
Can you share the link for the red "taycan 4s" stickers on the door sill? Also love that CF steering wheel, i have mine in order with the alcantara sides , how difficult was it to get the steering wheel swapped out? anything you'd do differently?

Thanks Brotha
I actually hand cut the Red in the door sills. I love the look myself. It just adds the right amount of color.
The Steering wheel was a little bit of a different story. When you take off the Steering wheel you'll throw a Airbag code whether you disconnect the 12V or not. I suggest not Disconnecting the 12V just be careful removing the Airbag. Our cars really don't Luke being disconnected from the 12V. You never know what code it will throw if you do.
Other than that the Steering wheel wasn't that bad.
