I'm generally avoiding letting them in the car (apart from the boot), and eating is verboten right now. They have full body/changing coats for after football practice and boots come off before they get in the car. New car syndrome will ease in me over the coming year....

But school bags get passed between sides, and the OH can put keys on centre consoles etc. Just areas where there's "traffic". And no matter what Corning say, their glass does scratch. (And that's IF Porsche sprung for Corning glass).

Corning should pay me to test their products.

Still driving around with the original plastic cover from the factory, on all screens. Have seen others with plenty of finger marks and smudge on the screens. What is the best screen cleaner out there?

With a smidgen of care, this stuff is completely unnecessary.

I have Xpel internal film on all 3 screens and the blank part where the passenger screen goes. It greatly reduces the finger prints and has a nice feel.

Beat me to it. I too have Xpel on the screens and it's perfect and WAY lower $ than Porsche's offering. My installer put it on at no cost when the car got it's PPF treatment.

Mine too. He even did the power button and that area. I need to get hil to do the otherside by the park button. He ran out of film. But this is the only area not done on the whole dash.

I just took delivery of my second Taycan and I think one area that is really susceptible to scratches is the blank screen in front of the passenger. After three years of use the main touch screen, a/c screen and curved binnacle were all fine since they seem to be made of a harder material but the passenger blank screen and bits around the vents and power button had light scratches from cleaning. I agree the ppf route is probably better than these Porsche screens since it can cover all the damage prone areas and I’m definitely going to get this done soon.

With respect to kids, my son sat on some chocolate he dropped and I remember picking out bits from the perforations with a safety pin. Also white suntan lotion stains is another annoying thing I’ve had to deal with although that was easier to clean off. This is why I couldn’t even think about having Racetex interior this time around. The joys of parenthood :)

I suspect your passenger trim was damaged by the dealer by careless wiping of the panel (mine was delivered this way - mentioned it at pick up but not been back in 10 months to have it replaced - film might be easier).

I have been really happy with this brand. I have it on all 3 cars including Taycan.

I noticed it says the finish is matte. Does it actually match the current finish on all 4 screens? I also saw it didn't come with the screen the is above the glove compartment, so want to order that one separately. That one says it is a glossy finish. Just want to make sure they all match the finishes currently on the 5 screens. Thanks

I'm still in the stage of contemplating when I'm going to take off the "screen protectors" that came from the factory.
Sadly on my second the dealer removed these and probably tried to sell them on knowing how my opc likes to make money!!

All look (matte) and feel like the original look and easy to wipe. No risk in ordering and returning if you do not like any. Each of the packets seem to come with 2 protectors as if they include a backup. Double check the size of the protector and correct position before applying by making sure the screens are on and lit edge to edge using a map in Day mode.

They also sell under another brand, LUWU, and the packets and product look identical.
I just ordered a bunch of varieties and returned what I did not use.
