This is probably the best combination of cars that my wife and I have had over many years of ownership - mostly Porsches but with Mercedes AMG a close runner up (last one in 2016, though): a 2023 Taycan GTS and a 2024 911 GT3. Remarkable how different these cars are in their own unique and wonderful way.

Another GT3/Taycan GTS combo here!

The Taycan is simply perfect as a daily driver - serene and smooth in traffic, and yet surprisingly fun when thrown into a curve. That EV kick on corner exit is always fun.

But nothing compares to the explosive top-end power of a GT3 approaching 9,000 rpm, not least when you have to take one hand off the wheel to shift! Just so exciting… TBH, the problem with the GT3 at full tilt is that it makes the Taycan GTS feel slow at motorway speeds.

Daily driver is a '20 Taycan 4S +, but my daughter grew up in my 20-year daily driver '91 964 Carrera 2 Manual, now a weekender. New long distance weekend tourer is a '24 992.1 T Manual. All terrific fun with unique and amazing characteristics.

BTW. My GT3 (white, posted a short time ago), is also a 6-speed - my first since my 2005 Carrera S. Later 911s were PDK (although whenever my wife and I visited my her sister, I begged her to let me drive her 6-speed Subaru Forrester while there). The more I drive the GT3, the more I am regaining that ability to "feel" when the engine and "torque of the moment" are telling me to shift up or down whether on hills or level ground. And I don't need to look at the tach because even shifts at 4-5,000 RPM seem amazing.

And I agree, the Taycan is a joy to drive whether in sporty or serene mode.

Too boring to have such similar cars. I have a Taycan Turbo and a Morgan Plus Four for sunny days nipping around country lanes.

If we're going there: I have a Taycan and a TR6.

bought a 23’ Taycan GTS new and just added a 24 targa in November . They both scratch a very particular itch. Completely different driving experience. If I had to have only one , it would be Taycan. The older I get , the more I value comfort and quietness - but absolutely love the targa
