Hi all,

I Ordered my Taycan last week, seem to have got an allocation really fast….

Initial contact Porsche April 22
Allocation July 22
Delivery November 22

Although the dealer said take the delivery date with a pinch of salt.

I tried to keep the build below £100k but ended up a little over… PPMFIJB8

Would be happy with any advice with my build.

Congrats, nice spec
Very similar to my 4S CT. I didn't order RWS but added power steering + You might want to think about 14 way seats and delete the memory package.

I ordered 9th June and got an allocation on 2nd July with November delivery. According to PRG the factory released a large number of allocations in late June.

Looks fine.

Cosmetic preference of course but gloss black door handles can be a bit much nor would I waste money on a gloss black wiper arm.

Interior - black brushed aluminium tread plates better looking than standard silver.

Leather interior is probably preferred but expensive.

Rear seat heating I wouldn't pay extra for (front heated as std).

Electric Sports Sound is a waste of money and becomes tedious after a while.

Enjoy!

Thanks for the reply! We went with the standard seats as we won’t be doing a great deal of miles with it. Maybe 6000 per year. And didn't feel the need for 14 way adjustable.

moving from an Audi sq5, so first ever Porsche and first ev. Can’t wait

Are you sure you have the right November? Mine is a whole year later!

Yeah I’m amazed to be fair…. I’ve locked in the price and now have the app on my phone. It’s gone into phase two which is a free trip to silverstone for the day.

dealer said build start date would be August/September I think

Yep mine is at phase 2 as well. I was told Q4 2023 when I ordered but SA indicated that with only 11 in front of me he expected that to be earlier..... I didn't anticipate 22 months earlier though!

It was Hull Porsche.

just hope we are making the right decision regards practically as we have a young family (8 & 5)

was blown away with the test drive, it was a gts we tried so hoping the 4s comes close just couldn’t afford the gts.

Nice spec and you're already getting some good advice from the guys about things to consider but, ultimately, it's your car so make it to your liking.

I considered the GTS but wanted a CT and the 4S fitted the bill. In real life terms I couldn't see me noticing any difference performance wise and the 4S is quick enough for sure lol. I've gone a bit overboard on the options but, it'll have what I like/want. Beware spending too long in front of the configurator though as it's like a Harry Potter Dementor - you can almost feel the money being drained out of your wallet!

Simon's (Speuk) point about allocations rings true as I received mine at the end of June as well. It will be a November build with a December delivery. I ordered in late December 21 so 12 months all in if it comes together.

All being well, it looks like there's at least three of us who will have a nice run up to Christmas.

yeah very true… my dealer did mention there had been a fire at the factory who supply the batteries. He said this could delay the delivery if they don’t get it sorted In time.

has anyone else heard this?

Yes, there is rumoured to have been a fire at a 12 volt battery supplier which ostensibly would delay orders by up to 8 weeks. Many people have received their vehicles in the meantime so it seems unclear how grave of an effect the situation will ultimately have on deliveries.

Ordered in March. Went to phase 3 a couple of weeks ago. This is just the standard ST.

We went for black gloss door handles and window trims too on Ice Grey Metallic. We really like the contrast. All subjective of course.

Fingers crossed there aren't any significant delays. Mine is due in Reading 28th November so hopefully 1st week of December delivery. I won't be able to resist unwrapping it before Christmas Day though ?
