So we were having a tricky discussion about me getting flashed by a camera in her new car and me cussing about only doing 63mph when she dropped the nugget that I had done over XXXmph 3 time one day last week!

Now I know you can set up speed alerts in the app, and she also has the Porsche app and is set up as a user but how did she enable alerts for me going a little quick?!

And, more importantly how do I prevent her from seeing this type of data gain!

Blimey, it's one thing to be shouted at when she's in the passenger seat but getting notifications when she's sat on the sofa is a bit much...

Help!

And where are those settings - don't say "on her phone" 'cos if I get caught going through that I will need to speed...

This is setup in App by hitting Details on the right of the car name then Function, scroll down to Alarms: Speed/Location/Valet/Car. So this is setup under Alarms > Speed. She can also be alerted if you venture out of the geo fence she setup under Alarms > Location. There is also a Valet Alarm and this potentially can be used for that as well. Privacy Mode is the way to go assuming it does not send the data from the car to trigger these Alarms.

my wife gets them too. at first she was nagging me about it. then she remembered she bought me a radar detector when i had my 911 (after my first speeding ticket) and i never got a ticket afterwards, so she stopped nagging.

Don’t hide it from her. Next time she’s in the car with you, drive fast and leave no doubt in her mind that is how you drive. It’s her problem to deal with if she’s uncomfortable with it. Shut down any future confrontations about it immediately.

I dont think anyone answered your original question.
Hmm it seems that once your partner has the app and user access they can monitor a lot, I'm more worried about her seeing me speeding that getting caught by the cops! ?

I'm more inclined to follow your signature tag than that advice ? maybe better to slow down and keep all the authorities quiet...

Lol, so your wife knows when you drive too fast in a vehicle that is both an EV and Porsche? You probably drain her mobile battery with notifications if you go for a short drive ?.

Sorry I’m Dutch and we are pretty direct. Just a honest question, why is she monitoring this? This is what a mother does to her 18yo not a wife right to her husband? I would only active these messages when for example someone from a valet service is driving my car, or when you bring it to the garage.
