bought my car into service center last week for the break hose recall and had them fixed a couple rim chips on 2 wheel.

had the car back for a few days and started noticing the steering wheel is slightly off centered and tilting just a few degrees to the left. The car drives straight when the steering wheel is centered but it will tilt a few degrees if i let it run without touching it. Called the service guy he was super nice but explained to me that none of the service they did to the car would have an impact to alignment.

i guess, is a few degrees off center normal? Never noticed it before not sure if it has been like that since i got the car tbh. is it worth it go get alignment checked out?? Cars only has 5000 miles on it

Unrelated to the recall work for sure.

Are you sure its not due to the camber of the road which will curve slightly to the left (water drainage) and therefore the car will tend to that direction if not holding the wheel?

When stationary and the wheels are straight is the steering wheel dead centre? If not then the steering wheel wasn't installed correctly (unlikely but possible) - dealer adjustment.

If the car is pulling to the left or right then wheel mis-alignment is likely.

Check on a really flat surface, not on a the road which tends to be sloped for water runoff. If really worried, have alignment checked (probably at your own cost). The fact that you had rim chips means you hit some curbs, which absolutely could have screwed up the alignment.

This sounds like and alignment issue for sure if wheel is not straight on a level surface. I got my checked when I hit a curb and it was $200 for the alignment check.

Steering wheel off-center is usually due to tie rods. Tie rods are adjustable (think turnbuckle) and set correctly, should be the same length. If one is set longer/shorter than the other, then you have a steering wheel that points left or right when the wheels are straight. I don't think they would have disconnected your tie rods to change the brake lines but then again I don't know what the Porsche procedure is for doing that recall.
