Shame for you, I’m enjoying mine, but now is a difficult time to pay for a car with a loan :(
Glad you're enjoying.

I've always been a cash buyer in the past, this increase was just taking the you know what though, salary sacrifice is a good deal but I can't see the justification in such an increase.

I've had nice cars before so I'm not too upset.

I never had a salary sacrifice option so am unaware of the positives and negatives.
It is probably an uncertain time to buy an expensive possibly heavily depreciating "toy" anyway!

I know nothing about it. SUVs are not on my radar at all so am unaware of anything about any of them!

Porsche, and other manufacturers, are in fact losing orders due to such long delays. Bu then again, they only got those orders because the trade-ins were at an all-time high and interest rates were at an all time low, which created unrealistic expectations from buyers, such as "I can trade in my 2 year old car is worth more than MSRP as a trade-in, so I can swap a 2 year old car for a new same car and walk away with cash in my pocket", or "I can trade-in my 2 year old Taycan 4S, get a new Turbo S for very low monthly payment". The situation was made worse by supply chain and production problems. As those problems are slowly being resolved, and used car market is heading towards pre-pandemic values, things will normalize again.

Side note: yes, it does mean we're going back to "your car depreciates as soon as drive it off the lot, and keeps on depreciating every day after that". If you ever wondered why you lose 10-20% of your car's value when you drive off the lot, the reason is simple - the dealer bought your car at a 10-20% lower price than the price they sold to you. If they can order another one at the same price, why would they give you more for it even if you came back an hour later wanting to trade it? The only time your car loses less if new cars are hard to come by. If you could buy goods at $100, sell them at $120, then someone wanted to sell one back to you, you wouldn't offer to pay more than $100 for it since you could get a new one for that.

I said before I that I hate the standard audio. Spent three hours in a loaner today with the Bose system. More power, better, more dimensional sound, gone are the grating trebles that hurt my eardrums.

But - certainly not $1,400 or so better. It is adequate, but I had expected more. Porsche (or Bose?) dropped the ball here.

EDIT: took some more time to go through the Bose audio options - while the 'surround' feature is mostly awful and artificial sounding with pop and rock music, it can do well for solo piano pieces and chamber music with small ensembles, such as string quartets.

What still puzzles me is the rather aggressive trebles, even with the Bose system. I now think this has to do with the speaker placement - it seems to be the center dash speaker that is causing this.

All in all, would I have taken the Bose audio over the standard system, had I known... yes, but only grudgingly... and mostly because the standard audio is SO bad.
