Further update - Wrong part fitted/arrived, the correct part has to come from Germany and won't be in till Tuesday/Wednesday next week, can't get a courtesy car till next Friday (and that was after a tantrum because it was originally the middle of feb) so I've got the car back with no heating till next Friday, and didn't have the car for 2 days while this was discovered.

Thank goodness I got 3 ferrero rocher and a bottle of fizzy water to compensate.

Joy ?

Wow this is frustrating. My MY2020 Taycan Turbo S stopped delivering any heat. Have service set up for Thursday morning (first available). Has anybody used a 12V heater like this while waiting for a fix? : 12V heater

So my November 2020 4S, heating failed yesterday, left overnight to see if it sorted itself, no luck. Driveable for short distance, but all windows mist up fairly quickly on longer journey.
Rang Porsche assistance this morning and car collected couple hours later from my driveway.
My local Porsche Centre service department called lunchtime, mine was the THIRD Taycan this morning with heating problems. Then came the rub, not able to repair until the END OF FEBRUARY!!!
Apparently there is a recall for heating system, couldn’t give much information.
Assistance quick of the mark saying they would organising hire car. Enterprise called, premium car hire situation dire, inundated with requests from Porsche Assistance. So getting Vauxhall Corsa delivered this evening which will be swapped for a Volvo XC90 next Tuesday. Luckily I‘m retired probably won’t even drive the Corsa, but there if needed.
Apparently one owner turned down a Corsa and ended up with a Vauxhall van, which he preferred. Enterprise cannot get new premium cars due to the ongoing supply problems.
Hope all your heaters keep working , fingers crossed ?

Update - found to be faulty HV heater, spares hopefully arriving beginning next week. Then it will be waiting for a workshop time slot. Fingers crossed not to long before back in my Taycan, a diesel Volvo is not fun ?
Just reading this as mine has giving up just had to get car recovered as no heat and it steams up inside parts on back order I am told very dissatisfied with the electonics of the car

If its any consolation - the heater in my Model X went kaput about two years into ownership - right bang in the middle of January too.

So its not just a Taycan issue.

Not sure this is true unless I took the last High voltage heater last week. Mine was in and out in 2 days.

Add mine to the list of those that had the heater fail less than 3400 miles into ownership, on a 15 degree night..... fun.

Sorry to hear. Hope they get the parts to fix it soon. What year is your Taycan? Seems to be affecting all models older and newer production. Now I'm worried.

Anyone heard / know (if Porsche deign us to know) what the root cause of the plate heater failure is?

[realise it’s an OEM Webasto 10KW /800v unit as described in the e-tron self study docs)

No need to worry unless you don't live in Florida.
The heater on my 22 4S - built in fall 2021 - failed two weeks ago.
Description of defrost/defog/cabin heat/preheat system in this post.

I can see this being a diy problem in the future if the design of these units haven't fixed the reliability. ? ? for the diy guide. :)

Well this is getting beyond frustrating.... so heater failed, called up the local dealership, and they basically told me to pound sand. Since I didn't purchase the car directly from them (never had a CT4 in stock, nor would take an order) they won't provide a loaner and saying it'll be 2-3 weeks before can even look at it, and that "i'll have to arrange my own transportation" while it's being fixed.

So now my option is to start calling other dealers within a 60 minute drive, despite it being 10 degrees outside, in this $125k car that has no heat, to maybe luckily even be given a rental car at a minimum. Or else go on Turo and get an SUV for the week since the whole reason I bought a porsche wagon was to be able to bring our dogs along.....

I hear WalMarts with EA charging stations have 12-volt 150 watt car heaters in-stock now for Taycan owners.
