Interestingly, when I took my car in for the dead heater on Wednesday, my VIN was not part of the heater campaign.

As of yesterday, it is. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

In November when I found out about heater campaign, I contacted dealer and PCNA. My VIN was not on the list. Per PCNA only 475 cars in US were on the list.
There are a lot more than 475 Taycans in US with heater manufacture dates earlier than February 14, 2023.
Porsche has met its requirement to notify NHTSA about the problem, but has understated the number of US cars affected, probably because it does not have enough heaters to replace all the bad ones.
Couple years ago it issued a TSB in US for failed heaters for 57 VINs. Same problem, listed a different cause.

I’m guessing the same will happen here. Probably fail next week now I’ve tempted the law of Murphy ?

Registration in uk was end March 2023.
Still not clear if it’s date manufactured
I don't think your car delivered in UK late March 2023 would have the revised heater fitted.

If you can be bothered, removing the front trunk liner, would expose the unit; the date stamp on the front of the heater.

Nicked a ready made pic from another thread ?

Stickers on the front ID the date of manuf. Also nicked pics from here.

New unit / post refresh / better soldering on the PCB:

Thanks - is it a simple job?
Apparently not.

Mine went in Wednesday with estimated return Thursday.
Something went wrong and it wouldn't take, so they tried again with a second part.
I was supposed to maybe get it back today (Saturday) but I can see it's still in the service bay so I'm not optimistic.

Stuff like this makes me really consider returning to a Targa.

I think he might have just meant the plastic tub and trim to check.

Fortunately I have. 992 Turbo S too! But Porsche GB don’t seem to care about Taycan issues. Think I may move to a Ferrari and a Fiat 500E unless Porsche get their ass in gear. £400 + Vat compensation offer for no car for 2 weeks. !!!!
